How do you like the FJ? I'm thinking of getting one in a year or so when I retire the big diesel from daily driver duty.

Manual is the only way to go! Mine is a 2005 Ford Focus ZX4, it's been a great car so far. I've stuffed two basses in hard cases, my two GK cabs, Hartke head and Boss multi-effect into it for many a gig and always had room to spare. Plus manual transmissions rule in the snow (downshift to slow down vs. using the brakes), which is a huge benefit here in Denver.

'92 Ford F-150 FlareSide...fire engine red with "RIIS" on the license plate...138K original miles. Add my height (6'4") to the equation and you'll understand why I won't be robbing any 7-11's in the near future.

Riis (what a coincidence!)

That Honda Civic Si looks like an amazing vehicle. I've heard nothing but good things about the manual transmissions from Honda.

I'm another Ford Focus driver. ZX3 with the 5-speed manual transmission for me! I bought the car without ever having driven manual before and learned as I went...quite an experience! I never want to go back, but my wife wants our next car to be an auto... I foresee a fight in the future....

I'm getting married within the next two years. My fiancée will probably get a new SUV or minivan when we have kids; I'll get her automatic Camry But, once the Camry dies, she says I can get what I want. I'm thinkin' maybe a nice, new Mazda3 hatch with a manual, of course.

Good luck with the wife!

Driving a 2002 Mazda Protege5 5 speed. Went with oversize tires to increase the load capacity and squeeze a bit more mileage out of it. I can get 30-31 mpg on the highway if I keep the speed down and routinely get 28 mpg in my daily driving during the summer (drops a couple mpg during the winter). I can fit my MB210, avatar sb112, backline 600, and a small tool box with my mike etc in the back hatch. I put 2 basses and a bag with a couple mike and guitar stands on the back seat. Still have room for a passenger. I like stick with a 4 cyl, however I'm too old to rule out an automatic in the future.

Here, you don't have much of a choice, you eat frogs and drive manuals.
Actually, even with a choice, I'd drive a manual ride... and eat thoses froggy's legs

In with a Peugeot 207 SW (with loads of room for the amp).

2007 VW Rabbit 5-door. Yeeha! Wish it was a six-speed, but five gets the job done. It's a good car for hauling gear and then fitting into tiny parking spaces.

I drive a Ford Contour SVT. I'm not sure the year, I believe it's a '98.

This isn't mine, but here is an example.

Mine is exactly the same except it doesn't have a spoiler.

Sticks and a clutch...oh YA

I have had plenty of both but the one that has been with me for almost 25 years is my 1987 Dodge DaytonaShelby and will go to my kids when I am no longer alive.
almost 130k on the clock with the original clutch/trans and turbo and has only been thru a motor change once about 15 years ago when I was younger and more retarded on the roads. Everything mechanical and electronic still works perfectly

here's a pic of it at work this summer when the weather was nice

.
the daily driver is a 1996 Honda accord AUTOMATIC ( yes I like to relax now-a-days ) and hauling my gear around in a Honda? --haha ya right that's what the SINGER's Nissan Pathfinder is for

Count me in - I drive a 2005 Acura TL, 6-speed manual. I'm currently teaching my 16-year-old daughter how to drive it.
