Best Paying, Non-Playing Gig!

So today I drove 50min to set-up, watch the rain, then tear down- and the singer handed us each $220- cash!

Gotta love the rain-or-shine clauses in a contract!

So what are some of the best gigs you've been paid for, without playing a single note?

(I was looking forward to play, BTW- had a coupla caffeine drinks earlier. I've been shedding on the upright to work out the extra energy!)

Well we played, but our best paying gig is when the first band brought a couple hundred fans along with them and then after their set, all left. All the bands got paid for their draw but since the first band left, we got their entire share.
