Best vs. Worst Names for Bass Products!!!

Sign in to disble this ad
My wife and I do this with band names for a laugh, but I thought some of the names that manufacturers give their equipment would be as funny...

Some of the Best...
Glockenlang Soul
TC Electronics Blacksmith

Some of the worst...
Pignose Hog
EBMM Bongo
Bugera Nuke

I know you can do better! LOL!!

I'm sure I could think of some for bass but I think this one for drums is just hilarious: Groove Juice - The Best Cymbal Cleaner, Guitar Polish, Drum Polish, Drum Stick Grip and Instrument Cleaning Products..

Good: Stingray, Thunderbird, or anything else that makes me feel like a rock n' roll badass just by saying aloud.

Bad: The potential confusion that could arise from having both the Music Man Sterling and Sterling by Music Man. Even better if you're dealing with a Sterling by Music Man Sterling. Also, any bass or pedal that's just a long series of letters and numbers. *COUGHIbanezandbossCOUGH*

+1

on the second part there are a lot of bass amps and cabs that fall into this as well.

10-4 on that...I used to play a BTB775PB5...only after I played an EDC705...talk about lost in translation.

My first Bass Amp was an Aria "Birdie." That name left a bit to be desired as well. At least it was blond with tweed.

Not a drummer by any means, but always thought "Pork Pie" could have used a little work as well.

The good: I always thought the ampeg BA115 was was simple yet clever. Not even sure if it was intended. The ba115 looks like ballS on the amp.

The bad: GK Backline.
