Yeah, I play a little bass too. I could tell what you were doing there. You were playing some major and minor scales. I was watching your hands.

Yeah, if done correctly, that'd probably be a band worth a listen with those influences.

I don't get what's funny either. Pelican is a great band, though I don't like heavy music in general.

NO, clearly if you actually PAY your rent and have a place to call "home" you take things WAY too seriously.

if you can't pay your rent, as in, they don't expect to be making much money...

...at least that's how I interpreted it?

And HogieWan knows (as the ad writer should have) that it is piqued my interest.

I don't get what's funny about the ad. Seems perfectly normal to me, aside from minor spelling/grammar errors.

And another from Craigslist Austin:

All original rock/hard rock band seeks a new bass player. We would like to have someone at least slightly talented, wants to have a career in music, and is not flaky (which includes showing up to practice, showing up at the studio, showing up at shows... oh and remembering the band name!) Reply if you want to be in a great band that has fun making and recording music.

(Sounds like they are losing patience.)
