A Bittersweet Night - A Tale of Two Bands

Tonight I played my last gig with a band I had been with for two years. The music was fun, the people were cool and the energy was there... but due to mismanagement, the band simply wasn't going anywhere.

Here's the bittersweet part...

The band leader for the band I had just auditioned for showed up to the gig and formally asked me to join his band.

In one single night I officially left one band and joined another. Very different projects (the band I left was Rock/Soul and the band I joined is Punk/Prog) but I truly feel I made the right decision.

The best way to explain this all is that, while the Rock/Soul band had the potential to go farther than the new band, it was a one in a million shot... this new band has less potential to go as far, but a high chance of garnering some success (if that all makes any sense lol)...

Anyways... if you want to check out my new band, you can do so here.

Thanks for listening to my rant... what a crazy night... and I didn't even include the story of my friend drunkenly falling on the sidewalk and slamming his head!
