I wanted to see if anyone has booked for New Year's Eve yet. Tell us about the venue and if you've played there before, etc.!!!

We're playing at a local club, big place, played there many times, once on NYE and it was an absolute blast. Oh, and 2 yrs ago, we made double scale but this year it's 4x .

Now you .

We're playing at a ski resort in northern Minnesota. It'll be just for New Year's Eve(Friday Night). I've never played there before, but our guitar player played there for a ten-year steady "House Band" type of deal.
They'll be giving us rooms and food. I think the pay will be alright, it definitely won't be our highest paying gig though.
I don't know about anybody else, but I would rather play on New year's than sit at home(no offense to my family).
Have a good gig everyone!

We're playing at the Hotel de la Paix in downtown Geneva. Five star hotel. Very upscale gig. Very good $$$.

I got double booked for New Year's. I'm playing a local club where I have a house gig for decent $$'s but then I have a private party to play after that. Big big $$$'s for that one. They are using an orchestra up until 1:00am then a dance band that I play in from 1:00 until everyone passes out I guess. The people that are throwing the party are letting us stay in their guest house after the gig so it should be a nice party.

I have a crazy timed gig coming up in early December. It's the launch of ski season and we're playing a bar up high in the Alps. We play from 11pm - 3am. Thankfully rooms thrown in.

I'm getting too old for this.

My new cover band is shooting for NYE as it's first gig! I was skeptical that we could get in anywhere decent as a totally new band, but our drummer did booking for his last band, and is negotiating now to get us into what I hear is a pretty good club, for pretty good $.

Who woulda thunk it? Not a done deal yet, though, knock on wood!
