Brute

i used to play bass in a southern gospel group. i was taking a nap on the bus as we were going to church. a car turned in front of us and we had a wreck. ( no one was hurt thank goodness.) so we got off the bus and the police arrived. i just happen to notice my fingernails were bright red. 2 of the girls in the group had painted my nails while i was asleep. (no telling what the police thought.) so now we are running really late. we finally get to the church and start hauling gear and getting set up. the church is full so we are hurrying. we get that done and we go to the bus to change our clothes. i couldnt find my deodorant so i get a can of brute out of the guitar players bag. sprayed some on and got dressed. i noticed it felt weird and looked at the can. it was hairspray. i didnt even know brute made hairspray. so now my pits feel like velcro. so i played music in a church with hairsprayed arm pits and bright red fingernails. and let me tell you those bright red fingernails really showed up good against the guitar. they caught me eyes several times as im sure they did the audiences too.

Your lucky thats all they did to you. I fell asleep once in the car on the way to a gig & my (ex) bandmates thought it funny to write rude things & draw rude things on my face with a permanent texta. Same thing, running late, up on stage & wasnt till after the third set someone said something! I got my revenge later on the guitarist with a semi acoustic guitar full of week old prawn heads!
