Talking Call me... even steven

So on monday I made the decision to leave my rock band (and did) because things just weren't doing it for me anymore and the musical gap between us was growing bigger.

Then my jazz/funk band which I loved gets the bad news later that day, the drummer's other band might be getting a big deal with a big label so he's probably going to have to quit. (its a 3 piece and he was really important, one of most talented guys i've met, so that pretty much kills it)

So I was thinking darn, there goes 2 out of 2 of my bands.

Then I get a random txt for some new rock band looking for a bass player, I check out their website and its pretty good so I think yeah i'll try it out.

So tuesday I go and have this amazing jam session with them, sealed the deal. New band #1.
Directly afterwards I go to sign a contract for a one off gig, and the guy who's paying me tells me he's starting a new band the bass spot is mine if I want it.

So on monday I was out of two bands, and then on tuesday I was in two more.

Didn't see that coming!!

Ah, natural balance me calls it. I end up in these situations all the time. Refer to that Seinfeld episode where Jerry always breaks even.

Nice! I had a day where I got 2 requests for bands. One ended up not happening, and the other I turned down (not my style of music) At the time I was in 4 bands (2 at school, church worship team, and a jazz group) and pep band was playing basketball games, so I was cool with no new stuff lol. I might drop a band soon so i might be on the lookout for another group.... Idk. Goin with the flow for now

There's a Seinfeld episode like this (anyone else ever notice that there is a Seinfeld, Star Trek, and/or Twilight Zone episode like or about pretty much any scenario you may ever hear in anecdote form?).
