Can I get some friggen drums in my monitor?{rant}

I was playing at the church and because of the fortress they built around the drummer you cant hear him even though he is 3 feet away from you. I asked the sound guy for some drums. and he turns up the guitar, I said "no, drums" and he turns up the background vocalist. I said again "no, drums" and he turned up me. cant a guy get some drums in his monitor /rant

Haha, sounds to me like the problem is more your sound guy than the actual drums being isolated.

he said he had spent 15 hours the day before taking out the sound system and rerunning the cables. maybe he got some of the cables crossed. he is usually on top of his game.
