Question Can I get some opinions on this?

Hey guys.

My band had its first gig together with our current lineup on Friday night, and for the most part, we seemed to go over well with the peoples in the smallish crowd.

However, I am a self-conscious loser and really wanna get some opinions on some of our stuff.

Opinions on the song, the vocals, the bass, the guitars, etc, anything (except film or sound quality) are welcome.

Oh, by the by, if you were interested, the instruments we were using were:

Yamaha/Rockwood drum kit, Schecter Stiletto Elite 4, Washburn Warlock, and an Epiphone Les Paul. DI into the PA for mics and guitards, Peavey stack for me. Drums all acoustic, no mics.

I like it, but the singer needs to do some work. His projection and intonation leave much to be desired.

Not saying get a new singer, as it sounds like he could probably improve.

double the speed. it's dragging.

more energy will make that groove come alive, IMO.

also, what sartori said. He doesn't have a bad voice, just needs to work on it a little.

Yea, we're trying to get him more into our style. He's normally a blues singer, so he's having a hard time putting melody in his voice.

Ozzie Osbourne pulled it off, but unless your band is trying to emulate his, IMO I'd work on stage presence and energy. Not a bad start, though.
