But yes. As a hobby I, and my friends, set things on fire. Somehow someone thought it'd be a good idea to light a person on fire. Of course, being the manliest...and canadianest of the group, I stepped up.
Now, being I wanted to live, gasoline wasn't the best option. Guess what we decided on? Rubbing alcohol with a touch of nail polish remover. Dressing in a ratty sweater, my buddy's ratty jacket (he bought from an army surplus store.) and a pair of jeans, I had my lower body sprayed with said mixture and lit on fire. This includes my legs, gut, arms and hands. Awesome.
So now I'm on fire. More awesome. It's a strange sensation, it really is. But one I recommend you try once or twice in a lifetime. It's actually okay for a little bit, it's warm but it's not SEARING my flesh away. I suppose the jacket helped some. But then my hands start hurting, to the point where it's not just uncomfortable, so I clap them out. Okay, some relief. Then it hit me, my clothes are still on fire. Bad. With no water around, I try stop drop and roll, and it's working, to an extent. Luckily alcohol burns off quickly, and most of the fire was burning clothes. Of course no one thought how to put me out, so the geniuses my friends are come up with what else? A watergun full of water from god knows when (Out of his garage) and a broom. Yes, I got hit repeatedly with a broom to "put out the fire".
So now I'm lying on the ground, the smell of burnt hair and clothing wafting, soaked with warm, pond-esque water, and sore from random broom strikes.
Moral of the story is, don't let your friends talk you into lighting yourself on fire. It's not fun.
