Caring Game!!!!

Ok, so this i s absolutely sick but we all know someone who really "cares" about their instrument. I.E. leaving a bass in the van for 2 weeks, using a cabinet as a beer shelf, or even letting your cat sleep in the gig bag.

So here's the game. Compare what YOUR instrument would be like if you "cared" for it like a bandmate, jambuddy, cohort, hated enemy... etc...

So HYPOTHETICALLY, if i cared for my bass the way my singer cares for his voice..... My 5 string would have only one string (a "Eb" mind you), and i would have a road case consisting of saran wrap.

your turn. have fun.

well, My five stringer would have 3-year-old strings, the finish would be gone, it would have burns all over it. My stack would be gutted and smashed, my bass-head would be nothing more than a pile of wires and boards without any casing, and my hard case would carry a fifty caliber sniper rifle (people already suspect thats what it holds, I carry it around high school all day, never open or leave it outta sight, and it looks just like a rifle case)

hmmmm If I cared for my bass like my bro treats his guitar.....

It'd be covered in all sorts of junk, like mirrors, keychains and magic marker scribbling.
It would only work if the cable was stuck in 'just so' and pulled upward with some force all the time.
The strings would be blackened with age
I'd have no idea where I left it half the time
(he's seriously just LOST his acoustic, no idea where he left it, and he doesn't gig or anything)
It'd be carried around wrapped in the remains of a gigbag, with the neck sticking out, no zipper, just tied in there somehow

If I cared for my bass like my singer cares for his Neumann microphone...

my bass would stay in it's case indefinitely and never get used. Although I'd brag about it all the time.

if i cared about my bass the way my little brother cared for his drums...

it would have a hole punched straight through the body, my bridge would just be duct tape over the ball ends, and it would have mysterious black marks all over it

Like my brother did to his cello...

It would be left on the roof of the minivan, and tumble off the roof while doing 55 down route 59.

True story.

If I cared for my SR5 like my kids care for our cars, it would be covered in JooJoo beans, chocolat, sticky juice, have scratches all over it.
