Cartoon strip bassist and band - Achewood

It starts here.

http://www.achewood.com/index.php?date=12112006

You can advance through from there or skip to the following dates that all describe scenes that all of us either have lived through or will eventually experience:

12/13/06; 12/26/06, 1/3/07 and 1/4/07

My trombone player thought 1/4/07 was funny.

That was funny and strange and I do think springing is the scariest way to get around.

Springing is pretty scary.
I hadn't heard of this strip before; but it looks pretty interesting.
Me and Lyle have the same taste in basslines.

Achewood is basically the greatest comic strip ever. I have the following T-shirts:

THE DUDE HAS GOT NO MERCY
WHAT THE HELL PEOPLE
Achewood Varsity T
Prime Time Records

These strips lose a lot of impact if you don't know who Nice Pete is.

I can see that. After I posted the strip, I poked around the Achewood site and read the Wikipedia article (pretty detailed). I am looking forward to reading Achewood from the beginning and learning more about the characters - it sounds like an innovative comic and one of those things that the people who like it really love it.

Even without the background, the strips when they are practicing reminded me of plenty of posts in the Bass Humor and Band Management forums.
