Here's another metal ad I saved.

Looking to add some Bootm and Vocals

We are a metal band from Omaha /SW Iowa
We cover from a wide range of bands ..We have origianl meteral that we would to get recored ...So we can get out into the clubs

OK. we looking for decent a bassist , not the next steve harris .Just some who know there instrument (and does not make it as they go !!! ) that also has good ethics about them selfs

Now to the vocalist ...we are open to male or female ...we only ask one thing you have good vocal range

We have a few requirements

1 not a boozer

2 don't have a drug problem

3 will be at practice

4 And the most important this is HAVE FUN

I saw that one yesterday on slam (you should know what I'm talking about spade). I actually auditioned for that guy but passed cuz they had a drunk friend at the place and he kept bugging me to play my rig and trying to tell me how to do my job.

I actually auditioned for the band in the 2nd ad. They call themselves Volume Hogg, but for the last couple of years, I don't think they've actually performed.

Anyway, I was driving to the audition and the neighborhood kept getting worse and worse. Drummer lived on something like 10th and Gunpoint. I don't think he had any teeth at all. Turned out they were HORRIBLE. The drummer couldn't maintain a constant tempo for more than a few seconds and the guitarist was unable to tune his @#$!#$% guitar, so I spent most of the night on my fretless trying to match his notes.

This sounds like a painful and humiliating medical procedure. After I get recored do I have to sleep on my stomach for a few days?

it was the add on the first post. I told them that I would think it over and that I had a couple other auditions that I was going through and I'd let em know. Well that was about 10 or 11 months ago. I found a band in Feb that took me and they and I haven't looked back.

I've more or less sworn off metal because bands like that are pretty much typical of this around here, but I took a look at their myspace page and they looked really creepy. When they uploaded the tunes, it sounded horrible.

LOL, if you think that's bad.......did the manager LLC of The Lords of Steel try to recruit you? She freaking acts like she knows managment but has never taken a management class in her life. http://www.myspace.com/burgundytrashglam This is what they actually sound like. This kind of #$@ doesn't need a freaking manager.

Wuahaha, had a bad laugh on that one...
However, being not a native-speaker of the English language, I might not be in the position to laugh about people not being so good at it, but, well what we have seen in the opening post isn't English anymore. This is an attack on our brains' speech centers. Sorry, but if I wouldn't laugh about it, I would have to cry...

You're more fluent in your 2nd language than they are in their first and only partial language. LOL, the local old metal heads don't get wise with age....just a steady decline. Sniffing glue and/or meth can do that.
