So, I got to play with an original act on their local tour stop, with only 3 days of woodshedding to their digitally available material. It went OK, but I am completely smitten by Maria of Hurry the Rising, who went on before us; simply outstanding.

The all-red instrumentation looks good; dig the Roscoe Beck.

There's lots more of Maria, on the band's Facebook page.

So wouldn't Maria be a Singerbabe instead of a CAS?

Yes, but I don't back her...yet. Definitely gotta develop her as a reserve for Uncorked.

Found one more from that party in December... this is most of the people who got dressed up. The ones I've posted before plus Lara Croft, Princess Leia...

Fun times. Tomorrow I'm doing an opening slot for the first time in years, should have time to take pictures during the headliner's sets... looking at the fb invite it should be mostly college-age girls.

No, she's not playing the keys - just climbed up on stage towards the end of the show. Personal dance partner!

It's been a bit quiet, here, lately.

The view from behind was exquisite:

Good shot of my pedalboard and BG250 combo (sideways on a stand), that seems to serve me well, for louder gigs, as of late.

This deserves reposting. It looks like people in their happy place.

SORRY, NO PICS! Anyway, we're playing an outdoor gig, a sidewalk show, lots of passers-by... and I look over just as a Pretty Young Thing rides up on her bike - a hippie chick, braless in a tank-top (pause while you imagine that arrival) - and then she stops, and leans forward as she gets off her bike - it was like going from Imagination to "Here, this is what you were imagining!" I'm pretty sure I finished the song, but for some reason, I can't really remember...

It was a pretty busy night of live band karaoke:

The guitard got into coaching the guests

These two are nothing but fun (bonus of hot bartender, right):

How nice of her to oblige the photog with showing what my view was
