I was always fond of Gay Bikers On Acid. I think you'd really need to be either completely badass, or genuinely gay bikers, on acid to pull it off convincingly though.

There was a band called Sex and Free Beer in LA in the late 80's.

Names I have used for one-offs:

The Screamin' Weenies
The Hardons (before an actual band of that name took it)
Blank Hank and the Chili Donut Revue (a personal favorite, since I'm Hank, and chili donuts is an obscure reference from "Eek the Cat" that has become slang for killer ganja among my friends)
My Lai & the Incidents

Of course, I might be sitting on another great name or 2 that might get ripped off if I were to post it here.
