I feel like a lot of progressive bands have some cool names such as:
Logic Mess
Heart for a Tin Man
The Mercury Tree

Then since My actual name is already taken by a famous recording artist and the world's fastest violinist I record stuff online under Satellites for Stars and my best friends and I who jam together call ourselves, jokingly, Pokey and the Flying Squirrels, because my drummer's nickname is Pokey and our guitarist, who is highly opinionated, doesn't want to be in a name with an animal in the name.

A friend of mine plays in a cover band called "fluffer n hummer". I always liked that for a cover band.

A buddy of mine plays in a band called Uncle Daddy and the Family Secret. It doesn't get much better than that.

I really like the name Heart For A Tin Man. I wish I'd come up with that back in the day. The guys I currently play with were called The Old Man Band when I got there. But they liked to abbreviate it to TOMB, which sounded kind of death metal-y to me. Fortunately someone else already had that one. So while we were nameless one night at practice we were teasing the lead player about how loud he kept his amp. It kept feeding back. We told him everyone would be happier if he turned it down a little bit. He said "Life is full of disappointments." So we now call ourselves Feedback Johnny and the Disappointments.

No, that was "ladyland", the other poster said "landlady", a funny spoof on the Jimi title.

That was Electric Ladyland.

Electric Landlady is a Kirsty MacColl album from 1991.
