Re-Forming Psychedelic progressive Rock band! (Rockford/surrounding)

"These messages need to be delivered accompanying the current accelerating shift in human consciousness that will subsiquintly become even more efficient as we race toward the galactic allignment of the 2012 period.

I am a multi instrumentalist(all instruments) currently re-forming a couple Progressive Psychedelic rock/metal projects that were an idea at one point and even gotten as far as the whole "band" being formed with four potentially functional members including myself but ended up only improv/free style jamming with these ideas of incorporating our name(Phi Project) on a sub-conscious level naturally, in ratios of phi/1.618 ] and other ratios based in sacred geometry, wich worked out nicely and we found out we had good chemistry but then things happened in a couple of their lives to where they had to move for some reason and since they all lived together they all were forced to go seperate ways cause they couldn't afford their house. But the point here is that obviously its not as complex as it all sounds, it all works out if the chemistry between my fellow musicians is good and we stick to the fundamental methods that Tool have established, and take those fundamental methods and use them in order to make our own unique original formulas. There is a huge difference between bands that are trying to rip off another band and bands that are actually going about it in ways that guys like Tool expect there fellow peers to go about it. As of now I'm only focusing on this one. It is called
PHI PROJECT. This band is NOT a cover band OR a tribute band of any sort but what it IS, is a TOOL INSPIRED band that is aimed and dedicated to the goal of what the guys from Tool were inspired by themselves wich was that the band King Crimson back in the 60s said "we are exercising a new idea and approach to music and we hope that someday some band will come along that was inspired by what we have done and take it and do something with that to expand that idea and take it to the next level". And thats were the guys from Tool came in and said(maynard interview) "we are mostly directly inspired by the band King Crimson and we feel we have taken the ideas they have exercised, and we have expanded upon and taken it to another level in our own way as they(king Crimson)so wished and now we hope that some guys ahead of us down the road take what we have done and do the same thing and take these certain principals and methods to another level in their own way" and thats where PHI PROJECT comes in period. It is all original material, and at the same time it is fruit from the fruit bearing tree that is TOOL. Sure there will be a few cover songs of various bands of our liking including Tool during live shows to get the crowds attention on our original material and because its just fun. But, This band is completely and utterly ORIGINAL with the goal of exercising different forms of psychological and biological therapy through music via sacred geometric polyrythms and ostinatos, to learn more about ourselves and to spread certain necessary messages, projections and beneficial theraputic bianary frequencies to "ENTRAIN"(entrainment) the spectator's/listener's and our own mind and body's biology, with the intention of positive results that may spread like a wave through out.NOT JUST ABOUT MONEY!!!!!Sure we live in a world that functions on the dollar at the moment and we all have it to provide for our survival but this is not about money it is a sacred spiritual practice through the PASSION of music! So if you are not passionate about music, please do not respond.Being Passionate about the music also doesn't mean taking oneself too seriously, there are very substantial aspects of humor and sarcasm in the music of PHI PROJECT like in Tool, its not all too too serious all the time, but would prefer musicians who are SERIOUSLY passionate. If you are not a Tool fan and or King Crimson fan,you do not have to bother responding to this opportunity. And If you are closed minded no need to respond. I want relatively educated musicians so that there can be an equal amount of creative contributions from everyone when it comes to the structuring of the songs so that they flow in the right ways that satisfy everyones musical visions for all particular pieces/songs. Given, the creative process for most of the songs idealy should begin with free style and improvisational sessions that start to evolve and a vision starts appearing and then thats when the music kind of takes over and the songs seem to build off of itself putting itself together and completing itself very naturally. I truly am an avid believer in this particular very natural creative process, and I also believe thats how one knows whether or not we have a good chemistry as a band is how well we flow together in freestyle jams, how much we as musicians are operating on the same wave lengths so to speak, and thats really what its about as well, operating as a well balanced whole on the same wavelenghts(thought processes). But thats the beauty of the kind of music that will be played, its not standard timing for the most part its odd measures and polyrythms and ostinatos and accents so its easy to play in harmony and be out of time with eachother when playing this kind of music(if one can manage to play this kind of awkward music) Its really been put in the best words when one called it "out of sync,in perfect harmony". So Do you like playing weird ****?Me too! Do you know anything or have you heard about sacred geometry? Tree of life?
Metatrons cube? Flower of life?2012?synchronisity?Entrainment?Do you have a respect for psychedelics? If so perfect. If not and are still interested and feel this is a project you can appreciate and respect as an outlet for your musical needs for making music with depth, substance, and dimension and not just some catchy phrase or lyric that people can jump up and down to then this might be for you IF you have an opened mind that is and are non judgmental and are willing and open to learning from people and sources that have a higher understanding of the subject matters this project will be confronting exercising and expressing,If you do have knowledge in these areas covered, I would suggest your inputs be regularly laid on the "table", I'm all about being opened to intelligent reasoning/logic. Since I'm not an octopus and can only play 1 instrument at a time, I am willing to cover lyric content and vocals. So I need Adam Jones inspired guitarists,Justin Chancellor inspired bassists, and Danny Carey inspired drummers! I do not currently have a space to jam/practice so if this is up your ally and you have a space perfect.Otherwise we can just write on our own seperate times/spaces and exchange material/ideas and work and build off of those ideas, get some completed song ideas and then we can go into my buddies basement and kind of rehearse and play around with the ideas there so that we can record there too and get these things on disk,he has a certified recording studio, so recording won't be a problem once we get completed material, and shows won't be a problem either, especially in Rockford. I aim for most of our live shows to be played in areas Other than Rockford like chicago, madison, milwakee, and surrounding areas and bigger cities with a more active and more happening atmosphere wich will not be a problem at all once we have a demo available.Of course there will be the occaisional "rockford" show, cause after all,the point is to be heard by as many as we can, but I want to stay quiet about it if you know what I mean. I'm not lookin to sell out,and PHI PROJECT is an underground project and will stay underground no matter how big the following/fanbase gets. PHI PROJECT is not looking for a record deal either, although we might not be completely opposed to the idea under the right circumstances one of wich must be that we maintain 100% COMPLETE creative control of every aspect of our music, and soon there after it would be understood that anyone who tries to suggest anything about how we market PHI PROJECT to how we structure the songs or how long the songs are will be completely chastised to the 3rd degree! PROJECT PHI doesn't want some greedy money hungry shallow minded business assholes to put their fingers in our project and **** it all up to gain some profit and money from it! We will have complete creative and marketing control at all times even if its just a poster at a pub that endorses the show. I am also willing to drum for this project IF and thats a big IF I deem anyones vocal style/lyric content and voice worthy enough wich I highly doubt but maybe there is that one vocalist who is waiting for a project worthy enough for him lol, thats the kind of musicians I want, but you get the point I'm sure. There will be instrumental tracks that I will be playing the drums on maybe even the guitar and bass on various instrumental tracks, and if your a multi instrumentalist as well then that option will be open for you on various tracks as well of course because thats also what this project is about is exploring yourself in different ways and forms.I am 26 years old and a product of the 90s but not limited to the 90s, I really haven't seen or heard any music AFTER that time period that holds up to what I felt seen and heard in the nineties, maybe in the 60s and 70s with certain bands that connected on deeper levels but certainly not after the 90s.And if you are wondering,no I don't listen to just Tool, this project in particular just happens to be a "Tool inspired" project. There are other project ideas in mind as well preferably with the same group of musicians for this one.If you qualify for a position in PHI PROJECT odds are you will be into the other projects and if you qualify for a position suggestions are obviously always welcome. The object of this project is to learn more for our sake but at the same time there are different messages of a specific consciousness to be delivered. So we deliver our part and there you have it, Please respond if you feel a resonation or a connection with the PHI PROJECT, Thank You"

I quit drugs over 10 years ago. After reading this stuff, I'm ready to go back to H again. Me, I'm looking for a money hungry band that will sell their souls for shallow money making music.

There is no chance of my small adolescent mind gathering the focus to read all that, but I think I'm glad that it exists. I do love eccentrics.

I like to think that I have a large, adult mind, and loads of focus... Yet I have no desire to even attempt to read that.

Overall, the typos and horrid punctuation sort of lead me to believe this person is really young, intelligent enough to use big words, if not intelligent enough to know when and where to use them, and more interested in being an "underground artist/cult leader" than anything else...IMO.

I wish Pete Townshend was here to read this! I'd like to know what he would think about it (I can just imagine!).

From the sounds of it, he should have respected them a little less "highly". I hope he has a good therapist.

I only made it 1/5 of the way through before I lost interest.

It would be interesting to see who responds to that add. I wonder what their conversations would be like?

I can't read the whole thing, my eyes are bleeding...

Certainly loves his Lucy, would feel right at home at an Alex Grey party (not that either of those are necessarily bad).
...but I'm gonna go out on a limb and say he is probably all talk and no substance.

I'll bet this guy does have some musical skill. However, I think his total lack of a sense of reality would prevent him from ever becoming successful. Could you imagine trying to put together a project with this guy and his raving madness?!?!?

Then again, this may be a troll of some sort...
