"I play bass and I also sing, but not at the same time. Honestly, I'm probably better at singing, but playing the bass isn't too difficult, and I have wicked major stage fright so as a bassist I can just kind of sidle off to a corner and rock out semi-anonymously (no one pays attention to the bass player). I have never gone to Berklee, although I've walked by it once or twice. I've only ever played in gimmicky punk bands with friends, but I'm at the point in my life where I'd like to play in an actual, real band, that plays paying gigs and is made up of people who are not addicted to amphetamines.

I suppose I like listening to Black Flag and bands that sound like Black Flag. I do not like "slap bass" and cannot play it. I often find myself singing along to the vocal stylings of Emily Haines, PJ Harvey, and the guy from Of Montreal (I am a chick).

I am looking for a band that does not have the genre of music it plays as a part of its name."

oh **** you're hired!

I have the opposite problem ... too much confidence and experience.

Our singer has what I'd call "wicked major stage fright". The dicotomy of dealing with it and loving music as much as he does is a difficult thing for sure. It's close to a phobia (like I'm acrophobic) with him.

The style im going for is an avenged sevenfold style meaning metal with influences from punk. I drink n smoke if that bothers you dont reply. i'M EXTREMELY SERIOUS ABOUT THIS BAND meaning if you like to **** off/around don't even talk to me. I have great expectations for this seeing as how all i've ever wanted to do in my life is make it in music, I will sacrifice allot to make this work. I'm part owner of a record label also and have access to a studio. LOOking for a drummer /vocalist/guitarist or bassist or possibly can join your band playing guitar/bass. We should start a poll on who you would rather have in your band between these two candidates.

If someone famous said that, Berklee would make them an alumnus.

I'd take the girl in a heartbeat.

She's funny. Plus, if she sounds anything like Emily Haines, we're in the clear.

Okay, that first one in the OP was a joke.
Right?

Sounds a bit too funny and too thought out, and with precise pun.
Can't be real. No?

Second one is real....
I think.

Should we hold a poll on which one is real?
