Crappy show turning good?

hey y'all.

played a NYE gig last night. we were supporting, playing 4th out of 5 bands. was just HORRIBLE loading up. our start time was a bit flexible, but we looked stupid unprofessional because the laptop and backing/click to the drummer just took FOREVER. we usually setup in about 10 minutes. but one cable went bad, things were plugged into the wrong outputs, settings were done incorrectly on the laptop... drinks had NOTHING to do with it. really. wasn't super apparent to the crowd what was going on, but started and stopped a couple times and it was just embarrassing.

THEN, because we started late, we had to stop after only 4 songs because it was 3 minutes to midnight and they wanted to do a MC countdown thing. we decided to just unload for the next band while that was going on.

but you know what? it actually KILLED. we just played the strongest songs from our set, people were way into it, and it was a lot of fun. surprised and happy was i. Yoda talk like i do.

any other poo to gold stories?
