The NeoX 212T seems like it would do nicely, but for some reason I'm also toying with the idea of sticking with two cabinets and trying a pair of the Focus 210's.

Anyway, what are your thoughts on it? For reference, I have two G-K heads - a 1001-RBII and an MB500.

Oh, by way, nice Stingray!
Dave - I can't recommend it unconditionally as I can with some other gear (for example, the EBS ValveDrive as a preamp, or the Genz Benz heads).

Mainly 'cause it's a beast in a couple of respects. It's not that lightweight or easy to maneuver. Second, it can command major volume but I don't find it as tonally pleasing as my Schroeder 2x12. However, the Schro is kind of a special design that is very low to the ground. (I'll try to take a pic tomorrow, it's kind of an unusual model that I really like.) But for the gig coming up, I really want to throw the sound into the room, and the Neox will do that. I think. I want to get the band's reaction to it at tomorrow's practice.

So - it's a good cab but I'm not going to tell you that you can't do better. A lot of good options out there.

Thanks as concerns the 'Ray. The lighting is kind of weird in that pic - that's the same 'Ray and Streamliner as in this pic, from the night I brought the Streamliner home:

the more the merrier, for sure.

In CWB 1 through CWB 9, I believe every known pic of a female bass player on the internet was posted, plus some guys who play in drag, and some I'm not sure are in either category. I'm done with looking for more CWB pics on the internet.

Since then, we've settled down with a few who we really like.

That said ... the more the merrier.

Rec room, bassment, garage, music store parking lot......anywhere we're all together will be awesome.

Speaking of rooms....the floor is 3/4 finished. The painting is done. My list is getting shorter.

Finish floor.
Install shoe mouldings.
Install blinds.
Hang ceiling fan.
Touch up paint.
Move stuff in.
Post the before/during/after pictures for everyone to see.

OK, trying again with the CD graphics. Apologies in advance for being far less attractive than the bass.

Thank you. To be competition for Big Mama is a high compliment, indeed.

Ok, after the jam last night we had about 2 hours of 'group goal' discussion. Gtr1 guy is a songwriter and very creatively driven. Gtr2 is not. I am on hiatus from band drama and won't commit to a new original project.

Consensus is that Thursday is Jam Night and if you need creative catharsis, start another project that satisfies you, because I/We can't. If you don't want to play Thursday, you don't have to show up. OTOH, we know everyone needs to take something positive away from the night.

It got a little heated but we are still friends today. I stated point blank I wasn't about to lose any friends over 'band' drama when there is no band per se.

Anyway, they are both still talking to me, so I guess it was all good.

Now, bigger news, I have been informed and all is confirmed that I and 2 other co-workers are going to Capetown Republic of S. Africa in May, from like the 10th to the 19th. Tour fish plants, 2 days on a freezer trawler. Yippee. Anyway, I have never set foot on the continent, and never had any desire to, but I guess an open mind is good. I am looking forward to checking out the music scene.

So I guess there will be pics and stuff in "CWB Part 20, On the Hunt - Puking over the side of a stern trawler with Thor. "

C3,
Your CD cover looks great. It's always nice to see a collaboration of band ideas find their way into a pice of artwork and CD.

Great job.

Capetown? That's so awesome!!!! Would you like a list of places to go, things to do while you're there? One of my PM's is from S. Africa.

Thor, bass and drums rule the music scene in S.Africa. Pick up all the local music you can get your hands on. Hope you don't puke too much on the ride

Blast from Past CWB

Our good friend TBird 1958 rocking his bird.

Killer player, great act. It kills me that our right hand technique is very similar. I pay no attention to back and
forth, but just whack it so it sounds the way I like.
