Anyhoo... the guitarist said let's jam out on the changes to Summer Time but with a funk feel to warm up, and afterwards let's just do originals tonight! Man I was excited to hear that, especially since I was like the walking dead from running on 4-5 hours a night of sleep for the past couple weeks. I set up my little Tascam DR for a room mix and recorded the practice.

Here's the first tune we did for warming up. Sorry for the clams. We were just goofing because it was something to do to loosen up the hands and ears. After going through the tracks I thought it was kind of cool. Definitely not the Summer Time most would recognize

Signal for those who might wonder- Modulus VJ>Aggie DB750>Ampeg 410 pretty simple. The cab belongs to another guy that practices there with my drummer. Im not sure of the model but it does ok. Much prefer my BagEnds, but sure makes life easier to plug in my head and go.
Btw, the band is Aries Rising found on the scotjon website.
Hope you peeps dig it.

Don't forget about sometimes letting the chick pickup play the guy too. In those cases, getting to see the front of the chick pickup is great but it's usually a nice treat getting to see the back/bottom of the chick pickup.

I think he's starting to like it. I haven't ordered any shoes in a while, and I keep seeing the truck drive past my house...and I know that no one else on my street ever has anything delivered by UPS.

Anyway, I think I'm going to get some time home alone tonight so I can't wait to get my hands on it and play with it.

I had to delete an entire post comparing it to reverse cowgirl.

Proof that I have at least a little bit of self-control...

I thought that was a reverse Peavey......

(praying that does not invoke the hammer but couldn't pass it up)

Well, CWB's and MoCWB's, it appears someone has hacked into our dear Furry's TB account. The Furry *I* know would NEVER have passed on such an opportunity - and she certainly wouldn't ever admit to having a shred of self-control. I hope the Mods can help her get back into her account, I miss her already....

It's fun watching you struggle with that self-control thing. You're so cute when you get that look......

Tonight was the pits for an evening. "Let's run this errand and go back to my house and watch a movie" turned into 6 hours of "pickpickpickpick - stop taking it all so personally" and "Mom, my car's overheating, what do I do now?" I finally got home at midnight. In tears. Ready to strangle every living member of the male species with 250 miles of me.

I mean really. How come the girl in dress pants, a silk blouse, and 4" stilettos has to show two guys (yeah - not one, but two) how to put coolant in a radiator? I do have to give the guy at the 7-11 credit though - they were the only place remotely near one of the "It's overheating again and this time there's steam or smoke or something that stinks coming from the front of the car" incidents and when I paid for the two gallons of coolant he had the good sense not to ask me how my day was. He just rang me up, comp'd my Monster, and said, "I hope your evening gets better than it has been." I might could have hugged him if I hadn't been in such a horrid mood.

I poke my head in the door about every 3,500 posts and you're still talking about boots

I finally got a pair of silver ones, but quickly found I really had to have at least a skirt to go with them or they just didn't look right........

Carry on

Ouch. I contemplated sending you an IM when I saw you on earlier, good thing I didn't! I might have been Bobbittized!

Hot hot hot hot hot!!!!

Personally, I'd pair the silver boots with silver spangled tank and then a little black leather skirt to break up the silver, but that's just me. I think it doesn't really matter what you wear with them, T.....with those legs, you could make a potato sack look like a red carpet look (and I'm still oh so jealous of those stems ;p).

It already is. Commence checklists.....
  • Got your PMs
  • Airfare booked
  • Rental car reserved
  • Set list received

Left to do:
  • Pick hotels
  • Finish downloading tracks and chord sheets
  • Learn a bunch
  • Decide what to wear
  • Paint Toronto red
  • Leave a warm fuzzy afterglow in my wake

It doesn't get much better than this.

Sorry to hear that you had such a rough night, Tat. Your telling of you having to show two guys how to add coolant to a radiator made me recall the days when I drove a tow truck. I can't tell you how many times I have had to change flat tires for some muscle-bound neanderthal in front of the gym that they are at. I never questioned their reasoning, but they would all volunteer the same excuse, "I didn't want to get dirty". o_0
