Picture the sound as a light source. when you raise the cabinet and keep it vertical, you are still fully in the beam of light, but with more or less intensity. With it on the floor and tilted, you are walking in and out of the beam of light or catching the edge as you walk away.
The GK combos are nice units. Especially for a practice or solo gig. Super light and a great sound within their comfortable power range. Go rock that thang girl! | Yeah, the whole "tilt" thing didn't make sense to me either.
It's light, but still more than i 'should' carry. I did find a luggage cart that it fits onto nicely so now it has wheels and a handle. It's just sitting on it at home, but i found a decent bungee for if it needs to leave the house.

BassGen is coming to visit you and I'm dragging the wife and 2 kids along with me.
Mark your calendar and we'll figure out a GTG time. Feb. 20 arrival and staying until the 27th (but leaving early). Busy on the 21st and 22nd for the little trade show. Also might have my business partner in town for the show and a few other days.
But I am coming to Orlando! Flights, hotel and rental car are booked!

Anyway it is labeled Sharp Concept 2009 on the back, with the builder's signature. ... which does not mean much to me. I just wanted it for cool factor.
Obviously I am not a bassist who will stand on the left of the stage, and not be seen...LOL
the paint is called "Black Ice". I did this on a bike before. It is a black paint with prism flakes instead of regular metal flakes. The colors will change with light and angle

Next time we play is Dec 14, but it's part of a multi-band thing so i bet they bring the big GK from the practice space :-)
