I'm a grinch. Sort of. I haven't put up a tree in years. The cats use it for refuge when the dog chases them and I get tired of picking it up daily when I get home from work. I also don't do black Friday, lots of holiday shopping, or extreme wrapping sessions. It's not that I don't do gifts - I'm just done buying most of them by 4th of July.

When I was with my ex I used to do the "full Grizwald". I had a Christmas train and Santa in a Helicopter in the front yard, the house was smothered in lights, we had thirty some homes and businesses in our Department 56 village under the tree. Oh, and the tree rotated.

She got all of the Christmas stuff when we split. (I know that she doesn't even have a clue how to set it all up.) Anyway, I didn't bother decorating for a few years at all. The first year in this house we put up a small tree. Last year we did zero decorating with Jimmy missing.

This year I wanted to do some. This is the result.

I like it. It's tasteful.

My hands hurt. My back hurts. My legs hurt. Everything hurts. No tile today after work. I've been playing since 8 PM. I needed to relax. Plus - I have an audition Wednesday after work for someone else's band and we're auditioning a guitar player on Sunday for our band. I know it's silly, but I'm scared about Wednesday's audition.

And now - I'm scared about Sunday's (and it's not me auditioning). The guy who answered our ad sent me his website from his old band in Ohio. Check this....http://www.slowhandband.com/

relax. easy to say, I know. You need a massage, sorry I'm not around. seriously - it's music, relax and enjoy it. (Even if you're in pain. You could take painkillers but I don't recommend that.)

well, he's good at covering Clapton. and you're good at being yourself and playing your own way. If he doesn't fit it will be more on him than you. But I hope it works out. Does he want to move (or has he already moved) to Florida? good luck with it either way.

Haha! You can handle it Tat! The site made me feel icky I thought that was a wax doll from the clapton museum. It may turn out to be great. Let it roll

I know your pain. I'd go to practice and gigs after a day of teaching and half a day on the job site. It's hard on your body, but its good for you.

Kick butt at both rehearsals!

That's nice Mike, I'd even say perfect. I don't do that much... just a couple light nets over the bushes. I'm no humbug, but all the neighbors have blow up stuff and so much light it's hard to sleep at night.

Stay Classy Pittsburgh

He's already in Florida and lives 10 minutes from the drummer. This particular area has a terrible drought of lead guitarists and vocalists. We've had ads running for 3 weeks and he's only the second nibble we've gotten. The first didn't work out.

I'll live - but my nerves are a little frazzled and my body's aches aren't helping that feeling. Add annoying man-child to the mix and I have the secret recipe for crazy bubbling in my kitchen.

I don't have the fortitude to explain everything right now. Jackie's dad is having some major medical issues. Please keep him and her in your thoughts.

1st Witch:
Thrice the brinded cat hath mew'd.

2nd Witch:
Thrice and once, the hedge-pig whin'd.

3rd Witch
Harpier cries:—'tis time! 'tis time!

1st Witch:
Round about the cauldron go:
In the poisoned entrails throw.
Toad, that under cold stone
Days and nights has thirty-one
Sweated venom sleeping got,
Boil thou first in the charmed pot.

All:
Double,double toil and trouble;
Fire burn and cauldron bubble.

2nd Witch:
Fillet of a fenny snake,
In the cauldron boil and bake;
Eye of newt and toe of frog,
Wool of bat and tongue of dog,
Adder's fork and blindworm's sting,
Lizard's leg and howlet's wing.
For charm of powerful trouble,
Like a hell-broth boil and bubble.

All:
Double,double toil and trouble;
Fire burn and couldron bubble.

3rd Witch:
Scale of dragon, tooth of wolf,
Witch's mummy, maw and gulf
Of the ravin'd salt-sea shark,
Root of hemlock digg'd in the dark,
Liver of blaspheming Jew;
Gall of goat; and slips of yew
Sliver'd in the moon's eclipse;
Nose of Turk, and Tartar's lips;
Finger of birth-strangled babe
Ditch-deliver'd by a drab,-
Make the gruel thick and slab:
Add thereto a tiger's chaudron,
For ingredients of our cauldron.

All:
Double,double toil and trouble,
Fire burn and cauldron bubble.

2nd Witch:
Cool it with a baboon's blood,
Then the charm is firm and good.

Jackie's dad has alheimers which makes some of the rest of this tougher to deal with.

In the past two months it has gotten harder and harder for him to walk even with his walker. They finally determined that he isn't getting enough blood flow to his feet which means that he can't feel them correctly. On top othat he has diabetes, high blood pressure and gangorine is setting in. They want to install a stent to increase blood flow. If that doesn't work they will have to amputate his toes, maybe more.

Right now his cumadin levels are too high for them to do anything. On top of everything else he doesn't understand and is stubborn and proud.

Jackie is their in Richmond. The dogs are not healthy enough to travel, so that is why I'm not with her at this point.

It's just tough.

Mike, would you like me to send you my son to dog-sit so you can go be with Jackie? I can do that if it would help you.
