I'm usually the one having to apologize. Thankfully for me, the hubz can't resist me when I'm on my knees, either. | Nothing like starting your day off with a big smile. Thanks PA

It must be something in the air.

It must be something in the air. | Maybe it's going around. I had mine bring up that one of his friends (whom i think is an asshat anyway) thought that my walking my male friend to his car and standing in the driveway to talk to him before he left our party was inappropriate and something must be going on between us. Luckily DH is used me having male friends but it still felt like being accused of something.

Just follow my example .... after almost 32 years together I've come to realize that I'm wrong when my wife tells me I'm wrong. No arguments, no fighting, just me saying "You're right, I'm sorry". It's so much easier to deal with and, most likely, I probably am wrong the huge majority of the time. I married waayyyy above my pay grade, so I consider myself lucky she's still here after all of these years |

Her cousin committed suicide. Body was identified this morning.
He was 21 years old.
So 2013 is not starting off well.

Woman once asked me, "Are you saved?"
I replied, "From what?"
She answered, "From the Devil!"
I said, "I do not believe in the Devil. I know the Devil exists but if I believe in him than I give him energy. The Devil is more than I can cope with so I just do not think about him at all. God made the Devil, let God deal with him. If I just focus on God then the Devil is behind me and he is God's problem; not mine."
Please excuse my political incorrectness in talking religion; I am just sharing a story to make a point. Two of my best friends have committed suicide. One in the 70's with a shotgun and the other purposefully OD'ed in the 90's. Let all of us focus on the positive and play the cards we are dealt; karma is the dealer and we are only working through our own mistakes. Don't do something that will make the game longer and harder later. You people mean a lot to me and I do not want you hurting....

But we really need to roll some good news just to balance things out so we can all remember that good things happen in the world.
Now I just wish I had some to share. Though nothing really too bad either.

Things between the missus and I seem to be ok for the moment. A lot of what I was feeling was due to a great deal of self loathing and torment.

It hit home particularly hard as he was also diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome like my son, and he was hospitalized six years ago after a suicide attempt. Given recent events, the news was difficult.
Memorial service is Monday with cremation to follow. Evidently this was his final request based on the video he left behind.

when things look bad, there's always a new bass to cheer you up, or at least distract you temporarily. Here is the Lakland 35" P fiver that arrived today, in a straight-up trade for my (relatively) old Jazz that I really didn't play any more.
