I noticed.

Gotta get your sunshine vitamin D in people!! Chase away those winter blues!
We actually have a couple of songs that our dogs will specifically come running out of whatever room they're in to sing backup. Probably speaks to the quality of the songs, but well, it is what it is. One time one of them nailed the backing vocals for PJ's Better Man, no lie. It was awesome.

Only almost as cool as MB's slap spinning dog.

Oh no, you keep on asking. Eventually he'll give in.

It's highly likely that you will leave at least one or the other, if not both, in Chicago.

FM, take note. I'm fairly certain this is the only time anyone will ever describe us as the "sanity" as opposed to the "madness".
I was laughing so hard at that! Hellz yeah, we're sanity! And it's in WRITING!

The family and I went for a nice bicycle ride at a nearby nature reserve today. It was a beautiful sunny day and the temps were relatively mild. FM is right..a little sunshine and exercise does the mind and body good!

Anytime you can take a nature walk or ride, it's good for the body and soul.
Glad you got in some quality time DT

Indeed. The wife and I went to a local comedy club on Friday night - the act was a hypnotist. Tomorrow night he is doing a "naughty" show..we're going to it!

hey PA - plays great. Brought it to practice today, started with the Fender P and after 20 minutes switched to the Lak P 5 - the band liked it, esp. as we were doing Alabama Shakes' "Hold On" where you're playing the low C much of the time. Here are the Lak and the P together:

they may look similar but there are some big differences, including the 35" scale on the Lak.

the Lak also make it unnecessary to use my current 5 string, the EBMM Stingray HH5:

great bass the 'Ray, but kinda saying play me or trade me now.

Your Lakie is sweet C3! My Emperor made my other basses unnecessary for me too. A better bass will tend to do that. Get rid of the ray and the fender P. Theyre going to be dust collectors now

Today it's been TEN YEARS since the Dr first told me i had cancer!!!
And I'm still here! So neener, neener, cancer can just F off! :-)

Wish i could afford to go buy myself a new bass or something but since my Dean was purchased 5yr even though i didn't even play bass i'll have to amuse myself by playing it tonight.

As DT said, "Congrats, Jaame!" If it were not so we would not be appreciating your smile today so all of us are the better for still having you around.

here is a chick with bass in a band called Lake Street Dive:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6EPwRdVg5Ug

a friend sent it to me and, knowing of my interest in chicks with basses, wants me to go with her to hear them at Club Helsinki in Hudson NY in a couple of weeks.

band is good, not so sure about the date in Hudson though ...

yeah ... that is great!

I'm sworn off buying gear for a while, just trading. I got very lucky with the Lak, happened to be a guy out there who wanted what I had and wasn't using.

as for the Dean, all I can say is ... you wear it well.
