24 hours from now I'll (finally) be seeing the orthopedic surgeon. |

I prefer to use factory replacement parts if I can. The only place that I could find factory replacement guards for a Stingray is at "the Perfect Bass". Cool. They have a wide selection, over 80 different factory MM guards in stock. I went to order last night and there is only one guard not in stock... yes, of course the black guard for my Ray...
They open in a few minutes, so I'll call them direct and see how long it will be.

I ran into him a few months ago. He told me that since he wasn't playing out anymore, he was going to sell most of his gear. When he bought it in 75' I was a drummer who would dabble with bass, mostly playing roots and octaves. I lusted for this bass since the day that I went with him to buy it.
Since I've been getting serious about becoming a "real" bassist for the past couple of years, Eric offered it to me for a stupidly good price to "keep it in the family". I'll leave it to his son in my will.
It is in great condition for a forty year old bass, although it is freaking heavy. |

Yes, there is such a thing as camo lingere. | I'd be surprised if FM doesn't already own something along those lines. Her closet is like fantasy land. I just want to go live in there and fondle all her lovelies.
