I've gone 48 hours without taking a pain pill other than an ibuprophen before I went to bed last night to take the edge off.

24 hours from now I'll (finally) be seeing the orthopedic surgeon.

I want to get a black gloss 3-ply guard for my Stingray so that it will match my Fenders, it came with an aftermarket matte finish black guard. I prefer to use factory replacement parts if I can. The only place that I could find factory replacement guards for a Stingray is at "the Perfect Bass". Cool. They have a wide selection, over 80 different factory MM guards in stock. I went to order last night and there is only one guard not in stock... yes, of course the black guard for my Ray...

They open in a few minutes, so I'll call them direct and see how long it will be.

I'm hanging in there. (Sleep is over-rated anyway.)

Thanks, the Tele means a lot to me. A bassplayer who also happens to be my cousin bought it from the original owner in 1975 when it was only three years old. He and I played together on and off for over thirty years.

I ran into him a few months ago. He told me that since he wasn't playing out anymore, he was going to sell most of his gear. When he bought it in 75' I was a drummer who would dabble with bass, mostly playing roots and octaves. I lusted for this bass since the day that I went with him to buy it.

Since I've been getting serious about becoming a "real" bassist for the past couple of years, Eric offered it to me for a stupidly good price to "keep it in the family". I'll leave it to his son in my will.

It is in great condition for a forty year old bass, although it is freaking heavy.

OH yeah I bet it is but I think that adds to the tone in the older basses as well as the Pickups. Just a COOL looking old girl

Drummer, I believe Perfect Bass gives a 10% discount to TBer's

That's good to know. I talked to them this morning and they should get them restocked in a couple of weeks. I guess that I can live with the matte finish guard until then.

Yes, there is such a thing as camo lingere.
I'd be surprised if FM doesn't already own something along those lines. Her closet is like fantasy land. I just want to go live in there and fondle all her lovelies.

...My mind.
Thank Goodness! I would hate for you to become a defiler of innocent ears, and I'm fairly certain your wife prefers her ears chaste.

That was pretty cool, thanks for posting the link. Seems she has a bit of a ballet background as well.

Hmm... my fantasies don't take place in FM's closet...
