All the hardware is black - as is the fingerboard - so she's all pink and black. | More gorgeous by the minute Tat!

One thing about West Virginia highways, they look short on the map but when you add the ups and downs of driving through the mountains; well, as they say in the mountains, "Hit's a right fur piece." In other words, it is a long way; like several hundred miles and probably 5 to 6 hours out of your way on what will already be 17 or 18 hours for you. Your best bet is to head for Jacksonville and then I-95 through central Virginia; not West Virginia. But, again, if you want to stop by you are more than welcome.
edit: As a reference point, I am about 3-1/2 to 4 hours from Mike in Pittsburgh and 3 hours from PA in Columbus and Mike and PA are about 3-1/2 to 4 hours apart from each other.

I'll still send out discs when I receive them, but it's all there to hear on http://m.reverbnation.com/artist/ariesrising
If you all recall this was recorded in our drummers garage not 24 hrs after closing my poor left hand in my van's slider door. Not making early excuses just saying it was a memorable day of recording. We got all the tracks down w the first take w the exception of the last one because I was having trouble w my hand.
Guitars were scratched and re done later.
Signal chain:
MB >Fodera>Aguilar DB750>BagEnd 15's. Line out of the Aggie and mic on the coax BE.
Hope you guys like it. It was fun as hell to play. I wrote songs 2,3,5&6

I actually did not change my settings for the whole session. Fodera was flat w the pickups balanced and set to tingle coil mode. My Aggie had a small bump in the bass and treble, but my line out was pre not post. I blended the signal w the BagEnd that has more bite.
Strings were some well used DR high beams that were near dead. I wished that I had a new set on at the time. I use the mellowed set so my finger style would be warm and sit down in the mix. |

That is some seriously good playing MB. I can believe you were able to play like that with what you did to your hand before the sessions.

had a gig last weekend, next one coming up Feb. 2, and in the meantime going to hear Erin Hobson (and her excellent bass player and producer Steven Ross on his Sadowsky) this Friday night in Red Hook, NY, and next Friday going to hear that band Lake Street Dive I posted a clip of a few days ago, with the chick on upright bass, up in Hudson NY.

The tunes on the site are low resolution. The bass tone speaks better on the recording. I was relieved to have it finished. |

Sounds like some great music you will be checking out.
I've been rather inspired by your "rig less" setup. So I'm experimenting w Jamup Pro and my iPad as a preamp for PA. I'll figure out the learning curve soon and report back. |

That was my "rig" - passive P into EBS ValveDrive into a good PA. Folks liked it, although it was a relatively low volume gig, so this would not work for every situation. I usually use a Genz Benz head. But I am becoming a "rig less" guy more and more. Depends on having good PA/subwoofers though.
