It is the bar owners perspective of his business and live music. I found it interesting. http://chrisledrew.wordpress.com/201...-to-musicians/

When you catch youself refering to someone 35-ish as a "good kid", are you officially an old fart? I think that I am.

Blame this poem on how crappy I feel and my Nyquil affected brain.
"You may think it's funny
to kiss your honey
when your nose is runny
but it's snot..."
My apologies.

My apologies. | lol, that's pretty bad. But I've always liked that pun.
sorry y'all have colds. Take xtra-C or ester-C or xtasy or whatever it's called. Works for me!
put this bad dog through its paces today ... no band practice, just me against the world on a 35" scale fiver for a couple of hours. Fingers still tinglin' ...

At first I typed a comment without a picture quote, but then realized that if you changed the pictures it could be VERY embarassing. |

Originally Posted by Tat2dHeart I played one of Tom's once strung E-C. That was confusing. | You are right Tat, it is a brain swell for sure and makes my right hand all crazy confused. It's funny that for 95% of my playing w bands is on a 5 string (low B) and my solo playing is split about 40% 6 string and 60% 4 string, but never a 5. It's such a tactile thing for me that this combination is by far the most akward, but I've been without a 6 string for almost 2 years now and I need to do some woodshedding.
The E-C still makes the most sense for my solo instrument over a 6 since I rarely use the bottom string for my pieces. The slimmer E-C neck feels a bit foreign ( perfectly fine w the low B ). It just feels more natural when I'm holding the larger neck in my hands. |

1... | jeez ... no suggestions at the moment. I am counting down the days to Reading/Wyo weekend, and hoping to meet drummer then too. My three sisters will be in town as well, but I've scared them away from the Crowne Plaza by making clear there will be crazed bass players all over.
trying to get the Shoemakers to do Muddy Waters' "I Just Want to Make Love to You" - written by the bass player Willie Dixon, recorded in 1954. I'd volunteer to sing it but I have to play the harp part as well as the (minimal) bass part, preferably on Big Mama. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RnlvHP1AXPo
