etoncrow - need you to recommend me a hotel in/near Dunbar. I'm coming to town, m'dear. Making a couple of other stops along the way that gets me within 100 miles of you - and that's enough to make it happen. Will PM you with the info early next week. It's my vacation and I'm gonna enjoy every minute.
Dad's home from nursing home, but has to go back in for another drainage surgery next week. It's looking like this outpatient surgery is going to be a regular thing forever. But - he's home and that's good news.
Got the best Christmas present in the world from a most awesome friend. Two bass lessons with Dave LaRue. Excited!!!! And, terrified.
Headed to Weybridge (outside London), England on 3 Feb. until 16 Feb. with a 3 day jaunt to Cologne, Germany the following week (and will be there for Carnival!) for work. So excited about this. It's a big project for work which is awesomeness for my career potential and I get to add a new country to my travel map. Life is good.
Hugs and kisses to all of my wonderful CWB and MoCWB family. Y'all are incredible and I'm so happy to have you all in my life. Luv ya!!! | wow, you are such a world traveler! very cool.

Actually if you want to sign up, PM or email me me and I will reply with a link that will let you sign up free and increase my own free storage.
Once you have it you can share certain folders inside free. For example Tat put all the video she shot of my band when she visited in her dropbox and sent me the link to access it.

I almost jumped in my car and went back home (a 40 minute drive). We played for about an hour and a half and called it quits. Not the most productive of practice sessions. Oh well. |

At least you played about as long as you drove. |

| | (aka Greg Harman) | | Join Date: Jun 2007 Location: Dunbar, West Virginia | | | Been a long week. Was sitting at my home computer after work Tuesday when my nose started bleeding for absolutely no reason. I plugged it with cotton and it stopped before I went to bed. Woke up about 5:30am on Wednesday and it was bleeding again. I fought it until Thursday morning when I went to the ER. The ER doc stuck a plug into my nose that feels like it ends back behind my eyes and filled it with a mixture of Afrin and saline solution. I now know there is a pain worse than passing a kidney stone. It looks like I have the sponge applicator for a bottle of shoe polish sticking out of my nose.
Over the past several days I have swallowed so much blood my canine teeth are 1/2" longer and I find myself avoiding mirrors when I walk through the house. As you might imagine sleep has been hard to come by. I am leaving in 30 minutes to meet my ENT doc at the OR to have this plug removed and cauterize the "leak". Wish me luck please. Another freaking week end lost for the crow...
Tat, no reason to spend money on a motel if you do not mind a sleeping bag, pillow and a comfy sofa. Coffee is free. (just read back at what I had missed and saw your travel reference. On the other hand, if you prefer more privacy I will get you a motel reference. There is a dog track/casino two exits west of me)

| | (aka Greg Harman) | | Join Date: Jun 2007 Location: Dunbar, West Virginia | | | Just returned from the doc's office. He pulled the plug and told me the plug was so painful because I have a severely deviated septum therefore the ER doctor had inserted an extra large plug into an extra small hole. (leave it alone girls; that one is too easy) I told him most everything about me was deviated. He also speculated that because that nostril was so narrow dry winter air was focused on one point and (he had to throw this in) with my "age" the thinner skin protecting the blood vessel wore out. Anyway, the freaking plug is gone and because the bleeding had stopped I did not have to go to the ER and be put under so he could cauterize it. Waiting now to see what happens and hoping it will not start bleeding again.
As far as my nose goes (and so far it goes every where I do - except once when my grandfather stole it - that's when I realized how much my nose looked like his thumb) I would seem to have one large and one small nostril (not the opening, just the cavern). That happened to my testicles once but antibiotics fixed that situation. At least the bleeding has stopped.

That pretty much sounds like the outer ring of the 7th circle of Hell. Glad it's better.

| | Owner of the GK Angry Bird amp | | Join Date: Apr 2011 Location: Olympia, WA | | Ok, maybe you guys can help: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ijk4j-r7qPA i have most of this song simplified so that i can manage it with my band. I'm doing just single notes until the :38 mark. It's what goes between :40 and :48 (when it slows and goes to fret 7 on the A string with the drums) that i can't quite get.
I know that later in the song when it does something similar it sounds more like this: (1/8 notes on the E string)
E|-53-33-22-00-|-55-33-22-00-|
After that i've taken the TAB i could find and moved it to the E and A strings. Yeah i know i can find the same notes on higher strings, but i know my way around E and A better :-)
