Miss Tat! Jackie is really looking forward to meeting you. You can stay in our guest room when you are west-bound after boot camp. |

G (E string 3rd fret) A (E 5th fret) Em (A string 7th fret) in the first part. Second part play an open E where the Em is. After that, where the lyric goes, "I know I won't be leaving here...with you", you play A (5th fret E string), C (A string 3rd fret), D (A string 5th fret), Em (A string 7th fret) |

I know that later in the song when it does something similar it sounds more like this: (1/8 notes on the E string)
E|-53-33-22-00-|-55-33-22-00-|
After that i've taken the TAB i could find and moved it to the E and A strings. Yeah i know i can find the same notes on higher strings, but i know my way around E and A better :-) | J - in that slower segment, here's what I'm hearing:
E rest E rest E rest E rest (eighth notes) for four bars
E rest E rest E rest EG (eighth notes) for two bars
A rest A rest A rest ABb (eighth notes) for one bar
B rest B rest B rest BD (eighth notes) for one bar
Repeat this progression 7 times.
Then E rest E rest E rest E rest for two bars.
Then
AAGGFFF#F#EE (77 55 44 on the D string 77 on the A is how I did it)
CCCCDDDD (played on the E string at 8 and 10)
Repeat this progression four times, then roll back into the progression I did above it. If that doesn't make sense, let me know and I'll try to find a better way to explain it.

Tat, no reason to spend money on a motel if you do not mind a sleeping bag, pillow and a comfy sofa. Coffee is free. (just read back at what I had missed and saw your travel reference. On the other hand, if you prefer more privacy I will get you a motel reference. There is a dog track/casino two exits west of me) | G - glad you've stopped leaking and are feeling a little better. Nosebleeds stink.
I'll keep you posted with more details as soon as I get my other stuff booked - but I'm definitely swinging through to visit. May have a friend with me, which is why I asked about hotel. Plus - I snore like a chainsaw and I'd hate to have you and yours sleepless because the windows are rattling. Quote:

I was planning to hit Dunbar on my way UP to Reading, so I'll let you know what's going from that point. If we can work it all out - we shall. Same thing though - I may have a friend with me. Either way - I'm dying to meet Jackie, so we're gonna make it work somehow. Quote:

I'll be otherwise engaged with family matters during the days, but hopefully one of the nights we (and Tat, and whomever else) can get together. I was going to stay over the night of the 2nd as well but I have a gig in upstate NY on the afternoon of the 3rd so I have to roll out on the afternoon of the 2nd. Looking forward to it ..

Since camp doesn't officially start until mid-day on the 1st, we should plan to do something on Thursday night before it all gets hectic for everyone. What do you guys think? I'd personally love to do something every evening (even if it's just dinner and a drink), but I'm in a sociable phase right now. Jim, you should totally come and hang out. There's a welcome reception on Friday night that non-campers can attend for a fee (not sure what the fee is, but I can find out), and it gives you the meet and greet with all the instructors, too. That could be fun. Quote:

That's a first for me, but then that low E is one of my fav notes too :-)
The other one we're supposed to learn is The Toadies "I Come From The Water" and except for the speed, and the weird time signature (sets of 6 notes) it was easy. Now i need to wait for the rest of the band to learn them.... which is also a first.

Besides bass gear that I'll need for boot camp, I'm bringing my cajon to jam on. If anyone plays acoustic guitar, that would be cool to bring along as well for laughs. |
