The 210 is sitting beside it with the GK MB200 sitting on top of it.
Very, very nice!

working on a trade of my Jazz '62 reissue for a Lakland P fiver - brought to my attention by a TBer I don't even know but who read my posts expressing interest. This place can be amazing. A lot of very nice people, not just on this thread!

I got a pretty 3" wide strap for the bass and a new set of EB Beefys for my guitar from my Secret Santa. Hubby bought me an hour massage cert and some very nice smelly candles. The fridge is full of food and the rooms are full of candles brought to my Solstice party by family and friends.

It's been a good holiday here.

I also got a new 3" strap, a really nice black leather Franklin. I got some Lowe's gift cards to put toward a new snowblower.

One more silly gift.

We have an issue with pigeons by our house. I won't shoot them, and we tried a plastic owl which didn't help. Jackie bought me a remote controled helecopter that I can use to hover around the top of the house.

Sounds like everyone got awesomeness this year. Hope you all had a wonderful day. I just rolled in about an hour ago from the hospital. Went to the nursing home and spend the afternoon with dad, and got the call about 45 minutes after I got home that there was a problem and the doctor thought sending him to ER was a good idea. So - back to hospital I went, and was up there until about midnight central time. He's resting comfortably now and they'll be doing another procedure tomorrow. So - I'm gonna try to get some sleep too - but I wanted to come say hi to everyone before bed.

Tat, I'm keeping you and your father in my thoughts. Be strong.

C3, best of luck with the deal. That Lakeland may perfectly fit in with your current line up. Let us know how it goes and post some sound clips.

Mike, If I had a mini helicopter... omg the trouble I'd cause
That may be the best xmas gift ever.

DT, nice score on the cab. It sounds nice and full in the clip. Rock that sucker! Now you should stack the 2x10 on top and let everyone in the neighborhood hear that stack.

J and Jim, I run my 4x12 at gig volumes in my house some times. It is the easiest way to dust! I deal with the occasional long stare from my neighbor, but I tell him he's welcome for the sonic colonic.

FM, Merry lego zombie xmas!

To offset my coal to presents ratio, I picked out an Aguilar Octave pedal and a new set of DRs. I'm much more of a giver so that was about all I could handle for gifts.

The 215 is 4 ohms..otherwise I'd be tempted! It does just fine on it's own...the volume was relatively low in that video.

Nice score on the pedal. I recently put some chrome flats on the 'ray..I'm digging them.

Nice that it's 4ohms so you can get the full power from your markbass head. How would you describe the sound on the new cab compared to your 2x10? I bet it sounds nice and thumpy with the flats.

The pedal is probably the most musical octave pedal I've owned. I rarely use any effects in a band setting, but when you kick in the octave pedal and the drive on the TH500, it becomes a little wooly monster.
I had the latest boss octave pedal and it was pretty good, but this one offers more in terms of tone shaping. I really liked the octave effect in my SWR Mobass head, especially when I used to combine it with the bass synth. I think I'll run this octave pedal with my Mutron for some tunes. I still prefer to get most of my sounds from my hands though.

Tear it up brother!

The 215 has a much deeper low end and sounds much clearer and fuller in the mids. It was much easier to dial in a bit of grind with the 215 than with the 210, which seems to be a bit muddy in the midrange area. When I first plugged into the 215, I had the EQ flat on the bass and LMIII..the low end was heavy and loud. I walked 25 feet from the cabinet and the low end was still heavy and loud. I had the EQ set on the head with the bass at 10 o'clock, low mids flat, high mids at 2 o'clock (for some grindage!), and the highs at 2 o'clock.

I've found that I really don't like much in my signal chain (save for my wireless). I have one pedal, and it's an el cheapo Danelectro FAB distortion pedal that was all of 12 bucks brand new. I mainly use that whenever I am messing around with my oldest's electric guitar.

Like you, I prefer to control the tone with my hands. I can appreciate the music that artists make with effects, it's just not for me.

My Teenager is so good at flying those that he can make it hover in front of my face, and the urge to slap the thing out of the air drives me nuts!

Me, i can only make it slam into the floor or the ceiling, sometimes both in one flight.

I like the way you can look totally bored while shaking your booty just enough to look like fun.

You're the kind of bass player that would totally have me dancing in front of you trying to get you to look down my shirt and smile.
