. | that is shaping up to be an incredible bass.
2:30 a.m. ET but still wide up after playing a gig that went until midnight or so, then hung out after. Went well and the venue was very happy with the crowd. (We do have a following of sorts - enough to pack this relatively small place.)
Played the Lak 5 all night except for my three or so mandolin tunes - really like the Lak 5, it fits very well with the band's material and it's like butter to play.

I enjoyed the ones I played at NAMM. How's the 35" scale treating you? Are you noticing it much? I didn't notice it on most of my basses except my modulus Q6. That was the only one that felt like a bit of a stretch. |

Not that bass guitar and upright are that comparable, but I'm used to a 41" or 42" scale on the upright so the 35" feels pretty natural and I like the feel on the B string much better. I do feel a stretch if I'm playing on the first 3 or 4 frets. But the tradeoff is that, with a better B string, I'm using the first 3 or 4 frets less and playing up the neck more.

I didn't see the show (or very much of the Super Bowl) but it's discussed on the TB "Basses" page.

As far as knobbies I'd just it's the standard 3 band, concentric bass and treble would be my guess, volume, pickup pan, maybe active passive on the switch? or a mid shift?

I started doing a little slap/pop riff..and this is what came about from it. I hope no-one is offended by it (other than the clipping) https://soundcloud.com/aaronfowler-1/vagingo | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
