I think it's very cool that you post videos of all the songs you are playing. |

Tat, Sounds like you are having fun and have a few battle scars to prove it! Maybe we should have sent you with a shield to keep those pesky pedestrians out of your way.
EasyJames, haven't seen you in awhile. Nice to have a cowboy around these parts again.
Jo6Pak, Very nice pic, and welcome!
tomydacat, did I see on FB that your band had a gig recently? Or maybe one coming up? Would love to see a video. (If you already posted one, sry, I still need to go back and look through the last week or so...) | Well how do Miss P.A.
Hope you've been well and the sun is shining where you're at. |

tomydacat, sounds like you rocked it. Way to go! Cool shirt, too.
Chuck, Did I see you had a gig recently as well? No pics or vid from yours either?
EasyJames, I've been doing pretty well. Cold and snowy here, but it suddenly seems sunnier with a sexy cowboy around again to brighten things up.

But I don't have pics so far. I was busy playing bass. I will try to track some down.
Hope all is well with you.

Hope all is well with you. | You MoCWB have to get better with getting us gig pics and video! This particular CWB needs an occasional visual to feed her fantasies!
Glad you had a good gig, though. Sounds like you had a blast and were well received.

You're not older than my dad. You're about the age of about 30% of the guys who want to date me. The rest are all under 28.

| | Owner of the GK Angry Bird amp | | Join Date: Apr 2011 Location: Olympia, WA | | | I had a nice 45min with just my drummer last night, working on some 12 bar blues walking bass lines. Just the two of us sitting on the stools in the practice space between his paying lessons people. And I actually got some of it by ear and remembered most everything but the turnaround w/o writing it down! I did put it into Guitar Pro when i got home, just so that i wouldn't forget it overnight, but i was surprised at how well i remembered the patterns. I think i got all of it except the last measure so that was a bit deal to me. Once he answers my email about the turnaround i can practice it at home with the drum machine and try and get it up to speed enough to have him on drums next time.
He traded with my job (i work in radio) studio time for advertising so i'm going to mark it down on my spreadsheet as private lessons instead of the $10 fee for studio space when the whole band practices.

It was OK for me but our drummer was not happy. I can actually see me and him splitting for a new gig. We get along well and I think we "lock in" really well without even trying. Maybe there is a good front end out there in need of a rhythm section?
I'd like to drag our lead guitar with us too but she is close friends with our singer and I doubt she'd go because of it. Shame really. Singer has pipes but can't remember lyrics and isn't really committed to the effort. She thinks she can still waltz in and pull it off. To be honest it had affected my commitment to practice. Hard to be motivated when others arent't. I used to work relentlessly to get a somg just right. Haven't had that drive lately.
