I think he is related to Beldar and Prymaat...

Or maybe it's just time to break up with Doris...I'm pretty sure your fingers shouldn't hurt after, and if they're blistering...well, yeah, break it off with Doris...and see your doctor for an antibiotic cream.

Lit up at night, and can't be found in the light of day? Sounds just like me!!!
I'd love to hit up those shops. You must check them out and bring back a souvenir from one! (just take the batteries out before you get on the plane)

When I attempt to play like that, people call 911 because they think I'm having some sort of seizure episode. Also, my bass tries to post itself to the classifieds so it's not subjected to that sort of torture anymore. I think it misses MB playing it.

Power went out Friday 8PM. Back yesterday around 8 PM. Woodstove. Generator drill.

Have about 6 trees down. Tree guys mailbox is full and not accepting any messages. No internet, phone, TV at home.

I'll get pics of the yard when I am less upset about it. Fortunately none hit the house.

Found an open gas station yesterday and reloaded on gen gas. Grabbed a shower at my sister in laws place, she had power.

There is another one brewing for this weekend. This is getting ugly.

But we are safe and warm, so all is good.

Taking off home now, catch you on the flip side when I can.

Oh my! Yeah, if your Dr is concerned about your cholesterol at 23, most definitely time to cut back on the bacon!

You should move out to the Midwest. We never get weather like that.

SoCal weather is boring by comparison, but yanno what? I wouldn't go back to shoveling snow for any amount of money.

hi all - the blizzard wasn't too bad in either Brooklyn or the Hudson Valley - thoughts go out to Thor, his area got clobbered. I would like to go at least a year before hearing "storm" and "historic" in the same sentence again.

But I digress. Gigs coming in left and right, esp. for the Vague Assurances, which I was kinda waiting for. March 3 with the Shoemakers but then St Patty's Day with the VAs, at a very cool, historic old bar where we're honored to be the first band they're having in, in recent memory, and we may become the house band there, which would be great.

Then two gigs already in April with the VAs, one at Keegan Ales which is a hot place to play in Kingston NY, the other a private party where they will pay us well to play dance music for only an hour or so.

I am looking forward to seeing Tat again and finally meeting Drummer (and maybe Autodidact) in a couple of weeks.

We have been pretty lucky in our area with the weather this winter, most of the snow is just a PITA and not really devastating. Guess the snow Gods have pity on us older folks this year

I haven't been too active on TB, time has been slipping away quickly of late. It seems like most of you are well, and Ms Tat, I'm very jealous of your excursions, especially in the UK ... we love it there!

Spent some time listening to some of the clips you all have popped in here ... DT, things are sounding very good and you look really comfortable, & Mr Bagger, excellent stuff, as usual. I love to hear some more clips from everyone posting here, nice variety of styles ....

Just got done with the first round of studio recording for an album of jazz standards, just the trio for now but we'll be adding the horns and guitar when we go back for Round 2 in the spring. All of the tracks so far were recorded with my Barker B1six, which recorded beautifully. This track, "Don't Get Around Much Anymore" was an original Duke Ellington/Bob Russell tune first recorded in 1940

http://soundcloud.com/ed-goode/2013-02-05-dont-get-around

There are a bunch of other tracks posted on our web site http://TheJazzSyndicate.com if you're feeling like listening to older jazz standards. The web site is still a work in progress as my band partner develops it. We do so many jazz dates & host quite a few jams here in Jersey, so we're working towards making it a resource for area jazz players as well as a basic web site for the band. Adding in some "for sale" and "jam location" links to make it easier for local cats to find places to go and play ... any suggestions from you folks on the web site would be welcome

Well guys and dolls - Europe is being cut short. Call came in at 9 London time last night that my dad was in the ER. At 10:30, it was that he was being taken to ICU in the sister hospital in a neighboring town. At 3:00 AM, they called me to come home ASAP. There's nothing more they can do except try to control his pain, and right now, they're not doing a great job of that. I'm heading back Thursday morning to Orlando and will leave the airport and drive straight to Illinois. Pennsylvania trip is still on at this point, but until I see how this all plays out, I don't know what will happen. Mike - I may be going to PA from IL and if that's the case, I'm having the Roscoe shipped to you so I'll have her for camp. I know she'll be in good hands there.
