My Dad has pretty much recovered from his episode with congestive heart failure. Much sincere thanks to those here who included him in their prayers. We believe he may have also had a small stroke but the only thing that seem affected is his voice so he dodged a bullet on that one. Thank you again and please everyone have a happy and safe New Years!

In other news, we had a small improvement with dad on Thursday and he was supposed to be discharged from hospital yesterday. Got back today to find him still in hospital and scheduled for another surgery on Monday. : sigh:
I'm kinda sad.

In my experience, when you find the end of the upper horn, the first position comes pretty naturally.
How do you feel about the length of the upper horn and the second position? Quote:

I want to take Christmas Eve as a chance to thank all of you for your love and friendship through this year. I have made friendships here that I'm convinced will last the rest of my life... How cool is that.
Merry Christmas to all.
And thank you again Deej! | Absolutely fantastic! I'm so lucky to have been able to spend time with two women who have become basically my closest friends, even though they're physically far away. Thank goodness for the technology that leaves us just a text, phone call, email, or CWB post away from one another. Quote:

I trust you all had a nice Christmas. At least I hope all of you did.
No incoming or outgoing equipment for me at this time, I have my dream stuff (finally), and I'm perfectly equipped for everything I need to do.
I was also offered a job in two other bands. One was an established country/southern rock band who needed to replace their bassist, one of the members had seen me play, and the other was a startup 80's cover band. I know the drummer and he recommended me to the group. I turned both down, respectfully, as I am in no position to dedicate any more time away from my family than I already am with Golden Road.
Anyway........nice to see everyone again!!!! | It's nice to be wanted! Good job!
I didn't get a chance to say in the last thread, but so sorry for all that craziness you had to go through! DT is a great guy, and I'm not surprised at all that he was a pillar for you through it all. Quote:

It's very sad and tough to watch. Jackie's mom is very frail, taking care of him is taking a toll on her. We have a place for them to move into in Pittsburgh, it's a retirement home that they already tried out and liked. It's not a finacial issue. Jackie's mom is dragging her feet as she doesn't want to deal with finding new doctors, etc... | Sorry to hear that you guys are going through this.
Crow, glad to hear that your dad is mostly recovered.
Mike, hopefully Jackie's mom will realize how much easier it will be on her once she gets out there. |
