dear BBC - ***?

so out of curiousity (and because i thought i might get some amusement out of it)

the BBC started airing this series called
"i'm in a rock and roll band"
and i figure... since they're doing band members in episodes...
around 3rd or 4th episode... they'll get to bass players... cover Entwistle and the like.

i just finished watching episode 3, and there was a preview for the next episode.

and i had a major WTH moment.

Episode List:

1 - the singer
2 - the guitarist (rhythm and lead)
3 - the drummer
4 - the other guy. bass/keys/saxophone/what-have-you.

oh? the bass is just some auxiliary member of a rock band now? since when did THAT become the case?

seriously BBC ... you screwed up.

anyways.

it's just a tv show.

so i guess i shouldn't be that offended.
it did rather raise my ire a bit though.

a lot of people view us as expendable, that is until they try playing without usthen they realize how important a bassist is.
