Seriously, I think she was just trying to impress me. Guy is probably right and she wanted me to think she was important. She just went about it the wrong way. Telling me how awesome her band is, dropping names, and touching my cables wasn't the way to do it. I did my best to be nice, tho'!
Out of curiosity, I did check out her band the next day and she was pretty okay.

Also, because of lack of pick up knowledge, some girls think that the pick up behavior that works on them will work on guys as well. Well, it doesnt. Kinda llike when she tried to play alpha male infront of your. Women are attracted to alpha males, but men arent so into alpha females, IME

My guess is:
A- Wasnt terribly attractive....would have been a lot less annoying and a lot more flattering if she was good looking
B- OP's Girlfriend/Wife/Thunderbuddy/Mother was close at hand, hindering possible whitty dialogue
C- Op is clearly F'N BLIND
D - Carrots (What the hell does that mean anyway?)

I really didn't mean to blow her off. She was wrapping the cable so slow it was painful. I didn't take it because she was doing it wrong. I took it because I wanted to make sure it was put in the right box, I was in "work mode" and she was disrupting my rhythm and she was in the way!
I wasn't rude... I didn't SNATCH the thing out of her hand. I said thanks, appreciate the help, I'll take it from here. I was shocked she got all bent out of shape. I did my best to back pedal out of her being insulted, but the damage was done.
I was DEFINITELY blind to the fact she was hitting on me! Perhaps if she didn't annoy me right out of the gate it may have ended differently. I did my BEST to be nice, and was doing pretty well, considering, until the cable thing. |
