IDK why it seems that I run into basses that are all girls. Even mine are girls...seemed kinda weird, b/c I am a chick and straight as the fretboard on my basses!!!!!
My basses:
my Spencer P bass: girl named Pinky
my Squier J bass: girl named Cherry
my Ibanez: girl: (Poison) Ivy
I named it Ivy from Poison Ivy b/c of all the trouble I had from her when I got her!
OK so is ya's basses guys or gals and do you name em??? why does it seem that all cars, vehicles and basses are girls?????

Jewel is a Jewel Blue Ibanez GSR200 (clever, right?) and Blackjack is a Black Fender BG-31 Acoustic-Electric. I hope to get a Precision soon. No idea what to name it though. But that's probably not gonna happen until like December or seometime in '09.

OTOH, if I'm in "bass mode," the most attractive women in the world could be running around bare-ass naked right in front of my face and I would be thinking about how much easier it would be to change strings with a Hipshot bridge.

I like to call my basses (two G&L L2000's), Frankie and Walter.

I think it was someone's weird idea to color it Fiesta Red and somehow it didn't come out quite right....
I quit naming my basses years ago. I couldn't keep them straight.

Anyway, my three ladies:
Yamaha RBX170 - Stella, because of the glow-in-the-dark star stickers I put over the fretboard inlays
Ibanez EDA900 - Cassandra, because the name evokes images of a supermodel, which that guitar is in terms of looks and tone
Squier VM Fretless - Tracy, since the bass is heavily based on Jaco's and Tracy was often his muse |
