It was lent to me by a friends dad who had it in storage and had no clue what he had. Unfortunately I was uneducated in good instruments at the time and gave it back when I got a new epiphone for Christmas when I tried to get back a couple years later he wouldn't let it go. |

I was confused, hesitating and about to leave, the rookie salesperson didn't know what to do so the sales manager sees the scene, storms over in a huff and gets all 'Let me show you how to close' - He takes the bass off the wall, stuffs it into a case 4" too long, breaks a piece of styrofoam off to make up the difference and shoved me out the door for $120.
Thanks!
I'd still have it if it wasn't stolen from my garage in '98 - I still keep an eye out for it

I do still have my first good bass, a 1970 Telecaster that I got in 1973, and modified a couple years later. Wish I has left it alone. |

It was an Ibanez Soundgear. I hadn't played it for ages, so I noodled on it for a few minutes before I took it in to trade. It actually was a pretty decent bass, I just don't prefer the neck. Turned out to be a pretty good deal though because the shop I traded with did an absolutely killer job on the T40. It needed it and now it plays like sweetness.

| | | | I have every bass I've ever owned. I'm up to 31, including Ibanez, Fender, Squier, Spector, and 3 Rickenbackers. My wife asked why I have so many. I said because God said I could only have one of you. She didn't complain again. I just can't part with them, I guess. |

Funny to think it took me a couple months to layaway a $150 guitar. It sounds pretty bland, and doesn't play particularly well, but nostalgia won't give me any other choice but to love the heck out of the thing. Plus, it keeps me entertained as a constant project bass. |

I can't get rid of it. No one wants to buy a brand they've never heard of.

I kept it at my buddies house and someone smashed his window and took a bunch of our gear but left all the expensive stuff lol. My buddy had a sovtech mig 100 and they run about 800 to 900 dollars and the left that and took my 30 dollar rouge lol

Now, my real first own bass, has been under extreme invasive luthier pimp-my-bass-beyond-deep-space-limits surgery for almost 6 months. I went Joey DeMaio on him, with different features. |
