Funny story. I'm playing "Victor Victoria" Opening night in the pit orchestra.
Super focused and sight reading my ass off.
Suddenly, a dancer falls on top of me throwing the music under the pit elevator, but not only that. My bass had the cable in the front, so when he landed, he raised all the wood leaving a huge hole I had to take it to a carpenter, not even a luthier....
BUT THE MF STILL WORKED!!! WITH THE HOLE AND EVERYTHING!!!
hahahah
so before coming to Berklee I sold it to a friend of mine back home...:P |

with flats. Got married in 1980 and did the purge of most of my equipment, but we needed to eat & pay rent, so.....

I traded it in in a local music store approx. in 2002, then came across it about two years later when a friend of my friend was selling a bass he didn't need. It was just how I left it; truss nut cover missing, one pot loose and a small dent in the body. I bought it back since I had started to regret selling it.

I used to hate this bass, but now I am on a misssion to find her cousin - a 76 Ibanez PBass copy. |

It was a "Cortez" Jazz Bass copy (looked like the Geddy Lee Fender model) that I bought in 1976, Not that it was great bass or anything, but I wish I hadn't sold it just for my own personal historical purposes. I do stll have my second bass - my beloved Kramer 650B that I bought in 1978. That's still my primary bass to this day.
