I took my wife out to dinner for her birthday and there was a venerable jazz sax player Art Lewis playing, so I sat in. Got invited back to play the next night. My upright chops seem to be in very sad shape. These guys play non-stop for 3 plus hours and I did not amplify my upright to keep the feel. The wait staff brought me a towel I was sweating so much. I had my electric and pkayed it for a few numbers but it just didnt have the feel. My right hand was screaming the next day.

Just wonder how you guys that double feel about it. Do you feel one takes away from the other?. Since I am a die-hard one fret-one finger player on the electric, the upright remains an alien being to me.

Your thoughts?
