| actually it hasn't been the first time he's gone overboard, he has just never gotten so drunk nor gone to such extremes. overall i would say he has been solid, but now this has made all the other times kinda stand out. i talked to him yesterday and his recollection of the events are quite different from what actually happened. (i called a couple of people who i know and were at the show, with no ax to grind) i don't play in a sex pistols tribute band, so this is just unacceptable. i don't want to be harsh with the guy because i still consider him a friend, but he really crossed a line, and at some point you have to make buisiness decisions based on buisiness not friendship. i have a day job but i count on my band income and i enjoy playing too much to squander oppotunities or get a reputation that will hurt future work prospects. when you make the decision to have a professional act and rise above the numerous bar bands that play for peanuts for anyone who will have them, you can't risk sinking down to that level again. i don't want to play once a month at some dive for a bar tab and $30. i want to play 2-3 gigs a week for good money. in my town that won't happen unless you conduct yourselves like a professional. the bar that he pulled his shenanegins in, had booked over $7000 worth of gigs with us through the end of the year. he's fired.
