Easter gigs

I myself have never played out, apart from in church, but have ambitions to do so. My previous band got their first gig in an 'Easter Rocks for Charity' festival.

What gigs are you doing over Easter?

I did a gig today for the NZ National Jazz Fest with my blues band. I sing and play blues harp in it. We thought it was going to be horrible because the day before the gig was our first jam in a year, but it came together really well. Many people say we're the highlight of the jazz festival, we should be on the main stage alongside NZ's bigger jazz/blues bands and that they come down just to see us each year. We make a bit in tips and get a few calls for gigs, some of which are very well paying, so it's good all round.

Played all day from 10-4 today and have the same again tomorrow

Played one of my worst gigs today. Honestly, I never thought it could happen to me, but it did. Playing on that level I'd rather prefer sitting on my couch and playing Playstation. It's definately more fun.

I played Easter Eve 9:30pm til 1:30am Easter morn. There were only a dozen, or so, people there in that large club. Not a good time for expecting a crowd. Even the Waffle House was scarce of the usual heathens at 2am after a Saturday night. Went to see our lead singer play solo Easter afternoon 1-5 at a marina. Heh, heh, he did good considering he was up most of the night.
