seen a couple of barfights, got hit in the head with a plastic ashtray, got a quart of beer busted on my guitar while it was in it's open case (back in my guitar playing days), jumped up, hit a metal beam and cut my head open, no all on the same nite

.
we sometimes play institutionl shows (timeout NY magazine did an article on us that i'll post at the bottom) and we've had at least a couple of interesting incidents. one time a woman collapsed on my guitarist's leg and had a seizure. the freakiest thing about it was that noone panicked in the least - just part of their normal routine there. something i guess this woman does from time to time.
another was much more frightening. a saw that they locked this really big guy into the next room and that he was very angry about something and they were restraining him. i saw this through the window in the door. i asked what the guy was so upset about, and one of the staff said, "ohh, nothing." but he was smiling. i persisted, and said "really, what's he so pissed at?" he smiled again (though he wasn't joking) and said, "well, actually... you."

I was freaked, but they reassured me that I had done nothing. They said sometimes they just get something in their head, I may have looked at him in some way or something that he didn't like. they held us at the center until they carted everyone off of the facility - it was a day care facility.
