This is going to be really hard. I am going to do this for a month. And then see how it goes...
1-Do not visit Guitard Center (even for strings)
2-Do not visit eBay, except for selling stuff
3-Deactivate the daily eBay saved searched emails
4-Do not visit Craig's List Musical Instruments section
5-Deactivate the Craig's List Musical Instruments RSS feed from my Outlook
6-Do not visit Pawn Shops
7-Do not visit the Pawn Shop's Web sites either (like Maxit's)
8-Do not visit the "basses" section of this Web site
9-Deactivate the model & brand-related subscriptions from this Web site
10-Do not watch gear-related Youtube videos
11-Do not visit the manufacturer's Web sites
12-Take a calm look at what I already have and repeat: "I have enough instruments, I am happy with them, I don't need anything new".

Is it cheating?

So for me, your program is like an alcoholic removing all the liquor, wine, and beer from his home, but retaining a flask of whiskey. It just won't work. |

1) make less than $4k a year for 6 years in a row
2) spend a few months living purely off the savings you manage scrape together in those 6 years
You really learn what you NEED, as opposed to what you WANT

Step 1. We admitted we were powerless over effects and our pedal boards had become unmanageable!
