ever fallen over a bra on stage?

Sign in to disble this ad
I fell over one while playing my first gig.
some girl through it on stage and while I was rocking out
it somehow wrapped itself around my leg.
Then while I tryed to de-attach it I fell on my ass:P
Anyone else have any funny accidents on stage?

Keep It Metal.

haha good one peter.

at my new bands first show, we were playing on this stage setup in the middle of a bowling alley (literally, the stage was amongst the lanes). Just before we started our set, I remembered that i hadn't hit 'record' on the camera i had setup. I jump offstage, run full speed towards the camera, and totally wipe out on the oily lane. Busted, bloody elbow and knee.

Man, every night. At first it was kind of funny, but now the onslaught of brassieres is just downright annoying. Bordering on hostile, really. Ladies, please... there is plenty bburk to go around. I've put one of those deli number-dispenser-thingies at the foot of the stage for a reason. Just wait your turn and I'll get around to you eventually.

Now serving number... erm... one?

At one of the last gigs for my first band, i thought it would be fun and jolly if i kicked through the kick drum skin. . .

turns out they are a lot harder than my foot lol the rebound then sent me flying back and i slipped on a big puddle of beery sweat. totally knacked my ankle and got a few bruises. talk about instant Karma!

This didnt happen to me, but is still hilariously funny nontheless:
one of my friends suffered the misfortune to fall over mid moshpit and knocked out one of his front teeth. after the song we all stopped for a little bit so he could find the missing tooth. it was at that point that some drunkard opened a packet of salted peanuts all over the floor! i still have the image in my head of this guy finding his 'tooth' and trying to put it back in the gap, only to find out it was a salted peanut! . . . . he screamed a little lol
he repeated this a few more times before wisely forgettign about the tooth.

Fun Times!

And you were prepared to pay for that damage?

Sheesh...how would you like it if the drummer jammed a drumstick into one of your speaker cones!

Isn't that what set breaks are for?

Thanks for creating a geyser of water from my nose!

One gig when I was maybe 18-19 years old, and still full of youthful energy...running, jumping around...I had lept up onto the drum riser, when I went to turn back towards the audience, I had misjudged the distance to the edge and fell backwards to the stage. Somehow I never missed a note and performed some bass kung fu and rolled from my back to my feet.

I just laughed when the band manager ran up after the show and said "That was awesome, you should do stuff like that more!" She honestly though it was on purpose till I showed her the slab of skin missing from my shin scraping down the front of the riser.

A couple of months ago as we we're loading onto the stage I managed to fall through a hole going up the steps... Both a Marshall amp and my Markbass amp went crashing to the ground... Everything still works

I've also nearly tipped over at a few shows due to a bit much to drink and locking my knees... I'm quite the lightweight

You know, I've never tripped over a bra ever, and being female I've been around several.

The funniest experience I ever had as a performer was when I was a university student doing a solo piece for timpani. It was a technical one to work cross-sticking, and the notation was only two pages long. About a quarter into page 2 with my arms crossing, I ended up loosing grip on one of my mallets. It went flying across the stage.

I was kind of in shock for a moment and kept the beat going. But I realized there was absolutely no way I could finish the piece with just one stick. So I stop, walk over, retrieve my missing stick, and go back to the top of page 2 where it had the most musically logical entrance, and play until the end of it.

One of my best friends (voice, trumpet), said that was one of the coolest things he'd ever seen and I appeared so nonplussed about it all. Neat. So the adage is true. Never let 'em see you sweat.

I went to see a buddy of mine play a gig one time at a small rock club. It was the bands first gig. At some point during the first set, some gal threw a bra up on stage near the guitarist. He picked it up and hung it from the head of his guitar and pranced around on stage like he was the king of the world… I then found out at the set break, that she was a friend of his. Really, just a friend, and she was ugly as sin, and the bra wasn’t really hers – she’d bought it Wal Mart before the gig and brought it along in her purse. The whole thing was planned and he knew it was going to happen. I lost any respect I might have had for that guy as the whole thing just seemed like the stupidest, most pathetic thing I’d ever seen. Lame.

Cool

back when i was a guitarist, i was doing a kneeslide whilst doing a solo (i know) and i sild straight off the stage (about 4ft up) and fell on my face. i was ok, i had a wireless on so my amp didnt follow me luckily.

my parents were in the audience too, infact the only other gig my parents where at, we were playing in our boxer shorts

and we were called The Alcatraz Melon Project- needless to say, we were AWESOME.
