What does this show? I have my knobs lower than that when I play. I have about 5 times the power as the rest of the band.

Wouldn't be a problem if the rest of the band kept their volume down.

Volume is one thing, but I don't see much of a problem with the rest (unless the one all the way down on the right is some master control). The highest thing on my amp, the bass, is at 12 o'clock, because that's where I get good tone. If I need more volume, there's a volume control for that.

I actually assumed he was talking about the scooped mids, not the volume.

Lars and James hate every bass player not named Cliff Burton.

Playing bass for Metallica has got to be one of the worst gigs on the planet. Just ask Newsted, it damn near destroyed him... physically and otherwise.

I watched them on TV, here in Madrid at "Rock in Rio" and you couldn´t even hear ir when doing a solo. (My tv has enough lows to hear a bass when playing solo)

Scooped mids seem to be the corporate line in Metallica. They even do it to the kick drum.

He said in the Bass Player interview that anytime James can hear the bass he tells him to turn it down! He said James yells "I can hear the bass!"

I don't know why he wastes his talent playing with that band.

I can only imagine that his incredibly small piece of the pie is still more than we can ever hope to make in a normal job, not to mention playing music!

Doesn't surprise me. Waste of talent I would say.

I actually bought 2 CD's this saturday with Trujillo on it (Infectious Grooves and Suicidal Tendencies). Pretty funky and a really cool style.

guys guys i was kidding around thats why i posted in the humor section, he might be using a bass or a cab which gives him tons of mids so he has to cut them down or something but anyway its really funny because you can imagine james turning down his mids everytime

Me too. You can't really tell overall house volume just by looking at the amp.

Seriously. He should tell the band that he's quitting and I'm taking over.

Hell, I won't even USE an amp.

Folks, Metallica is not a bass guitar band. It's a money-printing "guitar god" band with crappy lyrics and a really boring drummer. The bass is, really, unimportant. Trujillo has the gig because he looks cool on stage and wanted the money.
