An exercise in timing...

My band practices as a rehearsal studio, that also has a music school within. Our drummer is a part-time teacher there.

The other night, there was a group of students, probably 11, 12 years old who were getting ready to play a song they've been rehearsing for their parents. Guitar, drums, singer, no bass. My band goes in to watch, and my drummer was going to play bass, when he then asks me if I want to play(the song was "gives you hell" by all-american rejects).

It was fun as hell! I couldn't stop grinning...it was also a real test on having to concentrate on keeping time with the drummer, which was...inconsistent...and slooooow. Kid could throw in a killer fill though! No real point to all this, just a kinda funny story.
