Ok..... my very first guitarist was a straight up douche for lack of better term. He knew 3 chords and every song he wrote was basicly 5 well known songs. The first thing he pitched started "on a long and lonesome highway...." needless to say, he lasted one rehearsal.

3 chords is pretty good.

Punk songs only need that many.

One of my favorite musical insults is "they only know one and a half chords".

Most Sly and the Family Stone, and even James Brown would argue that they're using 2 chords too many!

Not necessary, but if the OP is offended, then they need to grow a thicker skin. That was far nicer of a reply then they'd get at most other forums.

TB seems to be the Disneyland of forums, all sugar and sweet on the surface, but populated by a bunch of people with deep, dark secrets usually involving murder. Ok, that's not true, but the idea that Disneyland is full of murderous miscreants sounded funny in my sick head.

My band covers Jesus & Mary Chain's "Coast to Coast". I couldnt seem to find any tabs (not that theyre needed) or a recording of the song.

3 chords is just about enough. Jaco needed only four.

Or was that four strings?

I love fake musicians. I have a cardboard cutout of a drummer, guitarist, keyboard plays, and hot chick singer. On stage I play with prerecorded tracks! Im making millions!

I have played with some pretty amazing musicians over the years, and having said that I am not an educated jazz soloist, does this make me a fake musician? Having said that, I sorta think having Chic Corea on my cover band gig would be a drag, thus the endless soloing over "Brown Eyed Girl" and such, having said that I really don't know anymore...
